(Emilys POV)
We got back to the school and got off the bus
"Leo wanna come over later i got nothing on"
"yeah of course" he was excited
"i am so gonna beat you at mario cart tonight"
"Try all you want emily but thats not gonna happen"

(Narrators POV)
Emily and Leo walked away from the bus joking, laughing and shoving each other, completely unaware of the fact that the coach was watching the two enjoy themselves. This was one of the last times that the coach would be able to train with them because in two training sessions, he will be re-tiring as he is to old and stiff to continue.
(EMILYS POV)
"Hey wasn't coach acting slightly weird early, like sad?"
I just shrugged in response to his question. Me and Leo walked back to my house and i unlocked the front door.
"I'M HOME MAX I ALSO BROUGHT LEO WITH ME"
he didn't reply?
i walked into the kitchen and the fridge there was a note
'Dear Emily,
I'm going to my girlfriends house tonight and i know you probably have Leo over but don't do anything to crazy i would like the house in one piece as Mum is coming some point next week.

I let out a disappointed sigh.
"Whats up Em?"
"My mother is coming next weekk"
Leo didn't know what to say, Mine and max's dad died around 6 years ago and ever since then our mum has been traveling the world on business trips we see her twice every year but if we are lucky once a year.
"Oi Ems lets go play Mario kart now"
"ok."

~After racing 144 times~
"TAKE THAT YOU LOSER I BEAT YOU AGAIN HAHA YOUR ALMOST AS BAD AT MARIO KART THAN YOU ARE BASKETBALL LEO"
"Emily, i was warming up those matches didn't count"
"But they diddd" i whined
Suddenly the front door opened me and leo stopped arguing and turned round intrigued at who opened the door

"Hello? is anyone homee?" My mothers voice called.
"Mum?"
"Ah , Emily. How are you darling? Hello Leo. I see you and my daughter are still friends
"Hi Rosa"Leo shyly said while scratching the back of his neck
"Emily where is your brother i need to have a word"
"Um hes out at the moment he'll be back soon"
"Okay, i hope you have suitcases Emily"
'Why is she being so damn weird' i thought to myself
"i need the toilet i'll back in a minute"

~Max's POV~
Why the heck is she here so early. Im so done with her. She keeps wanting Emily to move with her to America but now im an adult i can take her to court which i will be doing. If Rosa is looking for trouble, trouble is what she'll get. I pulled up on my houses driveway.  "Emily, Leo i'm back the house better be in one piece"I joked. i then made eye contact with HER

"Max, can we talk. in private.."Mum said sternly
"Yes" i replied glaring daggers at her.
"I want Emily to move to America with me. It would benefit her so much and i could teach her how to become a business lady instead of a footballer as that is a man's job. You also know i dont approve of Leo and i told you to get her to stop hanging out with that boy" Rosa started to lecture me
"Okay, how about you SHUT UP because Leo is the reason she is doing well in school and passing.Leo makes her happy. Leo is like a brother to me and her just because you do not like someone doesn't mean everyone else has to dislike them too. And for Emily moving to America, no she will not because Em is really happy here. She has friends,happiness,a chance at a really well paying job. DO NOT. DO NOT TAKE THAT AWAY FROM HER!" i started at her
"I AM HER MOTHER I CAN DO WHAT I WANT!SHE LOVES ME AND I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR HER!" Mother raised her voice and tried to tell me that she has always been there for Emily and that made my blood boil.
"WHERE WERE YOU WHEN DAD DIED?WHERE WERE YOU WHEN SHE HAD HER FIRST HEARTBREAK?WON HER FIRST TOURNAMENT?GOT A SCHOLARSHIP FOR ONE OF THE BEST COLLEGES IN THE COUNTRY?GOING ABROAD TO PLAY A VERY GOOD TEAM?YOU WEREN'T THERE IT WAS ME! IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN ME AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE, NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO SHUT MY RELATIONSHIP DOWN WITH HER YOU'LL NEVER SUCCED. SHE IS NOT GOING TO AMERICA UNLESS SHE WANTS TOO BECAUSE SHE IS HAPPY. DO NOT COME INTO HER LIFE IF YOU ARE GOING TO RUIN IT.I TOLERATE YOU RUINING MY LIFE BUT MY LITTLE SISTERS I WILL NOT!" i finally snapped at her. that felt amazing all the emotions that had been built up for god knows how long.
"I AM YOUR MOTHER AS WELL MAX MATEO LOPEZ YOU WILL NOT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!"She snapped back at me.
"TRY ME ROSA MARTINEZ WE DON'T EVEN SHARE A LAST NAME!YOU ARE ALSO ON MY PROPERTY TRY ANYTHING I CALL THE COPS" i threatened her
She didn't yell back... maybe she does actually feel bad but the look in her face says otherwise. thats a nasty scowl.
"Cat caught your tongue?" i spat at her with venom dripping from my voice
"I am such a terrible mother, i'm sorry I'm so sorry. i didn't  know how to cope with your fathers death and i despised your sister cause she looked like him and i thought if she lived with me i could learn to love her but you just made me realized that if i did that i'd be taking her away from everything that she's ever loved"she replied, she was trying to manipulate me, i can play this game.
"Mum, we have a spare room why don't you come and stay here every couple of months?It could help you build a relationship with Emily"
"No, if I'M going to bond with her it'll be in America"

~~Emily's POV~~
"I TOLERATE YOU RUINING MY LIFE BUT MY LITTLE SISTERS I WILL NOT!" Max and mum were arguing about me. "Leo?"
"Whats up emily?"
"I think they are arguing because of me Leo"
As i said that Max walked out the room looking absolutely livid and just came over and hugged me saying 'Im sorry you had to hear that Ems'

"Emily, my wonderful daughter. How would you like to move to America with me?" In that moment Leo stood up snd clenched his jaw in anger.
"Why would i do that."i side glanced her and just like my brother there was venom spitting out of voice when i spoke
"You would love it over there."
"No. Your not even my mum anymore Rosa Martinez." Max smirked and Leo relaxed his jaw but still stood next me.
"But i-i- gave birth to you" she stuttered out
"Family by blood but not family by choice Rosa" i explained. i loved her truly but i'm
not going to forgive her for
abandoning me when i needed her most.
"I think its best you leave." leo stated.
