"each of us have created a blade representing us the sword in front of me is the celestial holy sword: meridiem" the god of light said
"and the sword in front of me is called the celestial demon sword: umbra each blade has two forms the form you see now which is the sealed state and the released state which grants the blade a particular ability when mine is released you can summon ten GRIMM that will follow any command you give" the god of darkness said
"and mine will summon swords of light that you can launch at your foes and you can use both blades to send powerful energy slashes in both sealed and released state" the god of light said
"the released form of blades holds a different name which you need to learn in order to access it's full power for the released form of my blade it is called demonic celestial greatsword: tenebris" the god of darkness said
"and mine is known as the holy celestial greatsword: lux remember this well" the god of light said as the blades hovered towards me and i grabbed them
"now gilgamesh taught you how to effectively use his gates of babylon however he has not taught you how to properly fight and so" the god of light snapped his fingers and two individuals appeared
"this is kazuto kirigaya and asuna yuuki the former will teach you how to fight the latter will be a sparing partner for your friend" the god of light said i nodded
"hey call me kirito most everyone does" kirito said as he drew his blades and got into a combat stance i did the same with my two new swords
"ready" he asked
"no but i never will be let's start" i said honestly he chuckled then charged at me swinging down his black sword i parried it with meridiem
"smart if you have two blades never use both to block because then you lose the chance to counter attack" kirito said
and so it would begin we dueled over and over again with each spar i got better we dueled several hundred times and in between duels he taught me sword stances and techniques eventually even teaching me his stardust stream technique i am sure of it before i was trading blows with him as if i had wielded a sword all my life in fact i actually had kirito on the defensive asuna and pyrrha were watching the match that was really my graduation duel if i won training was done if i lost training would continue to spar but i wasn't losing this one as i continued to strike at him over and over again kirito would always say never give your opponent an opening especially if they are better then you eventually i improvised reverse gripping both blade to do a double reverse slash which is something kirito was not expecting this caused me to completely disarm him i then switched back to a forward grip with umbra and held it up to his throat breathing heavily
concede" i told him
"i yield" he said with a smile i sighed i letting the blade fall from his neck and hang loosely in my hand
"you were going easy on me weren't you" i said he shook his head
"i swear it i was in fact going all out you beat me fare and square be proud most would kill for the chance at beating the black swordsman" kirito said the he stopped and smiled as he pulled off the coat of midnight
"the title goes to the one who is undefeated so since you beat me the coat is yours become undefeated jaune become the black swordsman" kirito said i looked at him then the coat then him again and i took it
"it'd be my honor" i said he smiled
"kirito i think i'm gonna stay with jaune" asuna said kirito nodded
"if that's what you want" he said she nodded
"yeah it is good bye kirito" asuna said
"maybe i'll see ya in the future asuna" kirito said with a wave as he vanished returning to his world
