A|N: Hi to Mistress Hurricane! Thank you for the book cover love!

;

I woke up coughing and spitting out saltwater.

How did this happen? I don't know either.

"Captain, she's alive!" I heard someone shout near me.

My body's on all fours so I can easily take out what I can out of my mouth.

They seem like a disaster yet here I am, still coughing, forced to take out the water and gasping for air while holding my chest to endure the pain.

Woah, that was intense

I slowly opened my eyes, I froze.

I saw one... wait no, not only one but many men in front of me.

They were looking at me like I'm a prey. Or were they curious?

Everyone is wearing black. Black shirt, pants, shoes and hats! They look like pirates!

My reaction was late, I know but I still shouted in horror because they were smiling at me and walking towards me!

"No, no! Stop, right there!" I shouted, trying to scare them away even though I looked like a scared, wet, small rat.

"Out of the way" I heard someone say. His voice was so cold that it could freeze you.

The men in front of me gave way to someone behind them. I hugged my knees and hid my face in horror knowing that this could be the end of me.

"What's the plan Captain?" I heard someone ask.

"Ask her," he replied again with a cold voice.

Observing the surroundings. Someone is approaching me then he kneels in front of me.

"Miss?"

"No, don't touch me." I told him softly.

"But you have to make a choice, what do you want to happen?" he asked me again.

And then I remembered what happened.

I was inside this cruise ship with kuya but then the ship sank for some unknown reason.

TL/N: Kuya means Big brother / Elder brother

We were struggling to survive and my kuya couldn't make it. I couldn't do anything to save him.

"We're going to get you out of here, Dwyn. Not only me." he  insisted

"Save yourself kuya! The water is rising!" I shouted at him while trying to free my foot that was stuck in a broken part of the ship.

"If you die, I die!" he shouted back at me.

He sacrificed himself for me. If he didn't try to get me out, he would probably still be alive.

Anger immediately condensed on me. Stupid Dwyn! You're a swimmer but when it comes to survival times like this you're being stupid?

"Maybe she has no plans in her life, throw her out." I got back to senses after hearing that man's cold voice.

"Are you sure Captain?" the person in front of me asked.

"When am I not sure about my orders, Junger?" the man with the cold voice who's supposed to be the captain said.

"Uhh miss… you need to get off the ship." he politely said as if he was talking to a fragile cup.

Slowly I raised my head to see the situation. There's a boy kneeling in front of me and a bunch of people behind him but what caught my eyes is a fascinating man in front of me.

"She's wasting our time, throw her out." said the Captain.

"Now!" he shouted when he noticed that no one was moving.

"No! Wait!" I hurriedly crawled towards him and caught his shoe when he was trying to leave.

"What do you want?" he asked me the same question that they're yearning for.

"I want to join."

AN: Hi Langga! This is a stand alone story, you can read this without reading the "Lux Series". Thank you!
