Warmth

In this life of mine, waking up is one of my favorite parts. I do love sleep, but waking up is better. The crisp air, the soft blanket, and most of all, her. It's been 2 months since we've dated, but I've known her since we were kids. She was awfully cute as a child. As I was reminiscing in our childhood, I felt her let out a sharp breath and she awoke.
"Mornin.." she said.

"Morning love." I kissed her forehead.

"What time is it?." She mumbled softly.

I glanced over at the alarm clock. 4:38 AM.

"Take a guess." I said.

She grumbled and whined.

"I don't wannaa get uup."

I snickered.

As I settled back into my sleeping position, she turned to the other side of the bed and hugged the pillow. The blanket drooped down revealing her very short shorts. She shivered slightly. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her towards my chest. I buried my face into her neck. She let out a little yelp.

"What was that for Giyu?"

I hummed happily.

"What's wrong Shinobu? You don't like it?"

"I never said I didn't like it." she snapped.

I chuckled at her attitude. She's very feisty considering how she is when she's with her friends.

"You're an idiot." She huffed.

She turned over to my side and I got a better look at her. Shinobus gorgeous, purple hair was disheveled and strands of hair fell around her face. She snuggled closer and I noticed that she was drooling a little. I wanted to scream at how she could look pretty asleep and awake. Her face was glowing and I squeezed her tightly.

"No need to squeeze me you idiot. I know you love me." She said.

"I do love you, but you love this idiots warmth." I replied back.

"You're not wrong." She breathlessly laughed.

As she wrapped her arms around me, I whispered in her ear, "It's 4:40 AM."

She opened up her amethyst purple eyes that are better than any gemstone in the world and whispered, "Perfect."

She smiled and my heart skipped many beats. As we cuddled back together, I smiled wondering how did my life end up this way and how lucky I was. Warmth. I enjoyed it.
