3rd Person POV
—————————————————————————It was noon and people were bustling around the village gathering their necessities. A pretty mother, deep in thought was walking towards the market with her adorable child grasping tightly on her dress. She couldn't help but remember many years ago that this village was one her mother, her sister, and herself used to come to often. Shinobu considered herself responsible, as she always helped her mother with the groceries. Kanae, on the other hand, was irresponsible and caused a bit of trouble wherever they went. She found it funny and missed those moments. She suddenly felt a hard tug and glanced down at the child to see him whining.
"Kaaaa-chan!!!!!" squealed the little boy.
"Yes? What is it?" Shinobu questioned.
"I'm very hungry Kaachan (similar to mommy in Japanese. Not bakugo katsuki). I want salmonnnn daikonnnn," he stressed in a groaning tone.
She was constantly reminded of how similar he was to his father. It was endearing in a way.
"If you be patient and wait until we go home, I'll make some. Is that alright?" she whispered as not to attract the attention of others. He nodded furiously. She smiled and walked towards the stall where radishes were being sold. Meanwhile, this poor little boys hunger has gone to the extreme and decided to go find some food.
"Thank you Natsuo-sama." said Shinobu.
"Always a pleasure Shinobu-San." exclaimed the stall owner. He frowned a bit and started to look around her. Shinobu became concerned.
"Problem Natsuo-sama?" Shinobu inquired.
"Can't seem to find the little one! I swear he was here moments ago." gruffed the old man. Shinobu's eyes became alert and full with worry. She looked around her and couldn't find her husband look alike. She threw the radishes towards the old man to keep safely and started to run around.
"Total concentration breathing," she murmured.
She smacked her forehead in frustration. How could she let her guard down? She jumped on the rooftop of a building to get a better view and found nothing. Soon enough, a butterfly like shadow ran from rooftop to rooftop to look for the little boy, but alas, nothing was found. She started thinking in a more logical manner instead of panicking. She decided that he couldn't have gotten far as he is still a young boy. She then began to run back towards where she first lost him and looked around there. She came to the conclusion that he was simply hungry, and started to look towards the food based stalls where they were selling food. Surely enough, there was the Tomioka lookalike. He was devouring the rice balls that a sweet old elderly woman gave him. She sighed with relief and exhaustion and jumped down towards the boy. The surrounding people looked in confusing and awe as to question how a petite lady like her jumped down from the sky.
"Kohaku!" Shinobu yelled. The little boy looked up with glee and ran towards his mother.
"Kaachan! Look what I have!" she waved the rice balls in her face. She was mentally exhausted and picked him up. She began gathering her belongings and walking back home.
On her way home, her son was chattering up the atmosphere with his face shining with happiness. Shinobu couldn't help but smile, as it was similar to Kanaes antics.
"Well then, Mr. Mischievous? I assume you had a fun day?" she said.
"Yes yes yes I did! I'm going to tell Otousan when I get home," he cried. She sighed softly and walked home with a smile on her face.
Bonus:
He was starting to get a little worried. It's almost past dusk and his wife and child still haven't returned home yet. He wondered if he should go out and look for them. Perhaps they've encountered something. A man? A demon??!? He knew his wife was responsible enough to take care of the both of them, but he can't stand around. He was a former Hashira after all!
Just as he was about to grab his sword, he heard light footsteps near the shoji doors.
"Kaachan! Can you make it now? Now please! I'm sooo hungry!"
He heard her soft laughter.
"Alright! Let's find Otosan first? I'm sure he'll want some too!"
"Nooooo!! All for me!" his child exclaimed.
He internally signed with relief.
"We're home Otosan!"
He walked in the direction and smiled when he saw their faces.
"Glad to see you." he said as he embraced the both of them.
"Did you worry?" she giggled.
He shot a look towards her but it soften with admiration.
"I heard salmon daikon is the course for tonight?" he said.
"Seems like it," she smiled.
