The Confession Within The Storm | Orntorias Fluff

A sudden slam awoke the happily sleeping Artorias. His hand subconsciously reached towards his sword as he looked over to his door, seeing a shaking Ornstein blocking the door. Artorias sighed, retracting his hand to his bed and pushing himself up. His voice was tired and drug words along, "Okay, what is it this time, dummy?" The shaking man ran over and grabbed onto Artorias, wrapping his arms around him tightly.

"Th-The st-" Ornstein was cut off by a loud boom of thunder, Artorias sighed. He knew exactly what was wrong. Artorias ran his hand through the long hair of the other's and gently sat him down on his bed.

"Okay, okay. Take a deep breath and cuddle up with some blankets." Ornstein immediately did what he said, curling up so fast it scared Artorias. He ended up laughing, gently pulling the newfound ball of blankets into his arms. "Alright, and now you cuddle me." All Artorias heard was a muffled grunt of disagreement before Ornstein leaned onto him. He was too scared to fight against cuddles. In fact Ornstein ended up snuggling closer than Artorias had prompted, which made him smile.

They were huddled close, slowly drifting off. Each rumble of thunder, Artorias would comfort Ornstein. Ornstein's little quiver when the wind would pick up and howl through the night was met by a gentle voice. It calmed him down so perfectly, and as they both got more tired quiet whispers of compliments got more affectionate, until Artorias said one thing. "I love you."

Ornstein's heart lifted, three simple words had snuggled him even closer. It saved him in the moment, blocking out the thunder and wind. They were at peace. And as the eye of the storm surrounded them, they dozed off. Nothing could wake them until they naturally rose.
