Turn 02 / Phase 02: The Young Moon Goddess

[Italicized text = Occurs within the player's imaginations of the fight on Planet Cray]

As the two initiate the fight, their imaginations take them to a temple in the United Sanctuary of Cray; their spirits landing in front of a statue of a goddess.

"Ride the Vanguard—Spring Breeze Messenger!" Jin's spirit becomes clad in armor, he holds his sword up and prepares for battle.

"I... I ride the Vanguard—Godhawk, Ichibiyoshi!" Tsuki timidly flips his card over. His spirit becomes enveloped in light and he takes the form of a blue hawk adorned by golden necklace-like jewelry.

Ichi...biyoshi? I wonder what kind of deck this guy has, Jin thought to himself. "If you don't mind," Jin started, "I'll take the lead in this fight. But before we begin, I must ask... Do you already know the rules?"

"Y..Yes, I do," Tsuki replies, barely holding onto his cards due to the anxiousness he feels being watched by Kanade, Kiyoko, and a few others.

"Sounds good. Now I can fight without worrying about explaining everything," Jin says as he cracks a smile, drawing the top card of his deck and seeing what unit it is. "I ride! Bold Sparrow!" Jin's body becomes surrounded by light, and another bird emerges onto the battlefield. This time,  a brown sparrow with white feathers on its wings and tail, covered in gold armor and grasping a dagger with its tail. "With Spring Breeze Messenger's skill, I draw one card. And now, I end my turn."

"Ok then... I draw." Tsuki gathers his composure to begin his turn. "I'll start off with a ride. Let's go, Goddess of the Crescent Moon, Tsukuyomi!" The transformative light reveals Tsuki's new form to resemble that of a small child wearing a white, dress-like shirt and regalia known as the Tsukikage-no-Magatama (red, comma-shaped beads worn around the neck like a necklace). "Activating the skill of Ichibiyoshi, I draw a card and obtain a Quick Shield Ticket. And now... I end my turn," Tsuki finishes, letting out a sigh.

"Um... are you sure about that?" Jin questioned Tsuki.

"Y,,,Yes, of course, I end my turn. That means you start playing again," Tsuki musters out, confident in his answer.

"YOU IDIOT!" Kiyoko yells at her brother, "You're going second, yes?"

Tsuki nods yes, too nervous to speak in the midst of his sister's wrath.

"So then doesn't that mean you can attack?" she asked sarcastically. With that, a lightbulb turned on in Tsuki's head.

"Oh right..! I'm so stupid..." Tsuki laments, looking at the card on his field. "May I... please attack first?" he asked Jin.

Jin sighed with a smile and gave Tsuki a thumbs up. "Sure man, go ahead! You're lucky I didn't draw for my turn already, haha!"

"Th..thanks," Tsuki replied as he moved his vanguard into the [Rest] position. "I attack your vanguard with Goddess of the Crescent Moon, Tsukuyomi!" (8000 —> 8000)

"I'll play a no guard."

"Then... next is my drive check." Tsuki flips the top card of the deck face-up, revealing a card that looks similar to his current vanguard. "That's Goddess of the Half Moon, Tsukuyomi. No trigger." From his side of the battlefield, Tsuki raises his arms and casts down a lightning bolt, shocking Jin.

"Not too bad," Jin responded to the attack. "And now here's my damage check." He reveals the top card of his deck and moves it to his damage zone. "Dantegal, a front trigger. I give +10000 power to my front row... which means only my vanguard," he added with a chuckle.

"Ah, so you use front triggers," Tsuki noted. "I guess that should be expected from an Accel clan. Oh, and I end my turn."

"Great, now it's time to take the lead!" Jin exclaimed as he grasped the top card of the deck and added it to the rest of his hand. "I ride the Holy Mage, Indulf!" Jin returns to a more human-like appearance with pointy ears and a magical staff in hand. He now dons a golden chest plate worn over a black  coat-like shirt with a long, cape-like bottom, along with white pants tucked into golden boots.
