The little girl's giggles echo through the warm and lit up hallways, the soft socks on her feet colliding with wooden floor with every step she took until she reached the kitchen door. It was bright not too bright but enough for it to give a warm bubbly feeling inside of the girl. The lights flashed orange and yellow with a bit of white coming from the TV that spoke mindlessly. Despite the cold air outside, the kitchen felt cozy and welcoming along with the sweet aroma of cheese and chicken. She let her eyes fall close as she took in the scent with a huge smile before letting it all go. With her teddy in hand, she ran to her father in front of the stove running into his hip as she gave him a bear hug. A chuckle erupted from the said figure as warm hands made their way underneath her arms, scooping her up with ease before sliding an arm under her to carry her comfortably.
"What are you doing here, sweetie?" He asked with a soft smile, cradling her close as he gently kissed her temple. And with one arm holding a furry and fluffy bear close to her chest while the other pointed out to the window still with raindrops racing down south, she answered.
"Papa it's raining.." She said softly as her father followed her gaze. He let out another chuckle before turning back to her.
"You wanna go outside and have fun?" The girl's eyes widened with anticipation and sparkled with joy as she nodded her head vigorously and excitedly, practically bouncing in her dad's arms. The man only let out a roar of laughter in response before settling his little girl down, crouching along with her.
"Go ask your dad as well" He said pointing to a man not far, laying on the couch with a lazy expression and messy brown hair as his gaze was stuck on the TV. The little girl followed his finger as she looked at her dad, giggling at his sprawled out position on the couch while nodding her head once again.
"Dad looks funny" They both share a giggle before her father gently pushed her to go to him and standing up.
"Yeah yeah now shooo, shooo you little bug" He said with teasing eyes and a cheeky grin on his face as he flapped his hands to and fro in a shooing motion only for her to blow her raspberry in return. He then pouted, playfully as he put his hands on his hips but she only giggled before running away to her dad.
Her steps were easily silenced by the loud TV mumbling as a movie played onto it making it easy for her to silently wait for her next action, like a lion stalking its prey, she waited. Before pouncing onto her father who's eyes widened with fear flashing through it and scream ripping through the silent night."ISABELLA!!" A laugh followed after, coming from the said figure as she laid on her dad's chest before pushing herself up, straddling him. "Who— who taught you this?!" He sat up straight as he crossed his arms in front of his chest with a huff, angry at the scare yet there it still lingered a hint of playfulness mixing into his tone. Isabella only giggled before pointing at her father who was watching the two with a grin. Once her dad followed her gaze, her father raised both of his hands in surrender and fear.
