Spencer's POV'Shit.. I gotta get out of here quick, before the cops find me...' I spoke in my mind, running as far and fast as I could go. "Why did he even do that? Why does he kill?" Because it feels good. It feels so good to watch the life drain out of their eyes and to feel their fragile body go limp in your arms. It felt so good.. more than vapes, cigarettes, drugs, sex, or even a rollercoaster. That rush you get from going to the top, to the bottom quickly. It was like nothing else I've experienced. I got lost in my mind before I saw red and blue lights flicker past the rows of houses, me gasping and quickly running into a dark place.
When I've finally had to take a break, I ducked under someone's porch and stayed their to catch my breath. When I took that deep breath, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. No, don't. If you laugh too loud the people who live here will find you. I covered my mouth, but that didn't muffle the sounds of my laughter. Soon enough, I was laughing like a maniac. 'Dumbass! Don't laugh that loud!' I couldn't help it. The rush and the voices in my head made me do it.
Light shone through the cracks of the wooden porch, causing me to quickly cover up my mouth, my laughter coming to a halt.
"Hello?" A woman's voice could be heard above me.
It sounded like an old lady..
"A-anyone out there?" She asked, the shadow of her feet covering the light above me.
'Maybe if I run, she won't be able to see me, it is dark out here and she won't be able to catch me. Alright, here we go.' With that, I felt my body get up and make a run for the trees.
"Oh! Young man! Get outa ere! Scram!" She yelled.
'Damn it! She saw me, she knew I was a man.. she probably saw what I was wearing didn't she.. Fuck!' Curse myself.Sidney's POV
Bed. Sleep. I need sleep. I've been up for a while talking to these police officers and nurses. It's 3 in the morning now. Why can't I get any sleep around here? The hospital was cold, my bed is cold, but I can make due.
"Alright Sidney, I think it's time for you to get some rest. Sleep up!" One of the nurses said finally, turning out the light while my mom walked out of the room, closing the door.
The only light shining in was the light coming in from under the curtain in the window pointing out towards the hallway. I didn't really like any light while I'm sleeping, yeah, I'm a "psychopath" for not having a nightlight. Grow up. As I turned to my side, I laid in the bed, staring at the line of white light shining through, sometimes waving whenever a nurse walks by. I didn't want to think about the incident, but my brain always went there. Just get it out of my memory please, put some bleach in my head. As I dozed off to sleep, I thought one last thought, 'He was a real murderer all along..'Spencer's POV
I decided to go over to Ricky's since it was the closest band members house, and he's really nice, so I figured he could help me with my situation.
I ran up the back door and started to bang on it. I could've easily broke in but I decided not to this time.
"Ricky! Ricky it's Spencer, let me in!" I yelled.
Soon enough I saw the shadow of him through the light on the floor, him opening his door in pajamas.
"Spencer. What the hell man." Ricky said, whipping his eye boogers.
I let myself in by walking past him.
"Dude."
"I'm sorry Rick but you gotta help me." I said, turning around to face him as he closed the door and locked it.
"Okay? What do you need help with?"
"The cops."
"......w-wha-?"
"The cops their after me! Listen,-" I got cut off by him.
"What could you have possibly done??" He asked, a little freaked out by this.
"I-... I....." I sighed, "I may have tried to murder someon-"
"WHAT?!"
"Listen! But it's all just a big misunderstanding, okay!?"
"What's the big misunderstanding?? You tried to kill someone and what? The survivor said "oh it wasn't Spencer it was some other dude" and you wanted to say "nope I'm the killer" huh?" Ricky ranted.
"No! I mean- there is no big understanding.. I just wanted to kill again.." I gazed down.
"Spencer, I told you that you were going to get caught! But you never listened all those times before! Now look at the mess you got into! Me and the band have been trying to keep you out of the light for these murders, but you went and fucked it all up because you wanted to kill someone without us there to cover it up for you! How many times am I going to have to tell you? No killing with out us there! You'll get caught! And you did this time!" Ricky said, pacing back and forth around the room.
"I know!" I said, "But I couldn't help myself! I had to! The voices told me to!"
"We've been telling you for years to stop listening to them!"
"I've tried but their so tempting! You don't understand what it's like to have these voices in your head that aren't yours so you feel like you have to obey them or they will ruin your life!"
"You've already ruined your life!"
"Shut up!" I grabbed the table next to the couch and flung it, Ricky quickly moving to the side as it bashed into the wall, leaving holes and crashing onto the floor.
Ricky stared at it before slowly turning his attention to me, a frightened expression on his face. I couldn't help but tear up.
"Ricky.." I grasped onto his purple pajamas, "You gotta help me..."
Ricky starred me in the eyes for a while before sighing, "Fine."
I felt relief wash over me like a wave.
"But after this, you can't kill ever again."
...
Crushed.
"R-Rick-"
"Nope. No more killing. Would you rather spend life in jail and be hella bored or stop killing and be sorta free?" Ricky asked, grabbing onto my wrists and pulling them away from his pajamas.
"...Sorta free.." I replied, looking back down in disappointment.
"Good."
There was a knock at the front door, the both of us turning our attention towards it. Ricky's dog shimmying down stairs and bark at me before realizing and then started to bark at the door. Cute little dog."Police!" A man yelled from outside.
"Shit! Spencer, hide in the freezer, there's enough room for you to hide in there. I don't think they'll check in there." Ricky whispered as the police officer waiting outside looked in the small window next to the door.
I nodded. But how will I breath? I don't know but I trust Ricky enough to do it. With those instructions, and Ricky making his way to the door, I carefully ran towards the fridge and hid in the freezer. I heard the door open and them talking over the sound of the fridge. The dog stopped barking thank god, hopefully Ricky's dog doesn't bark at the fridge and blow my cover.
Ricky's POV
"Hello Officer, what seems to be the problem?" I asked, leaning against the door as my dog stayed by my side.
"Sorry for waking you up to early in the morning, but we got a situation that happened close to here, we also got calls about a suspect running through neighbors back yards. One of these people saw the suspect run to this house. Did you happen to see anything?" The Officer asked, getting out a pen and a notepad.
"Well, I didn't hear or see anything. Also you guys are all good, I'm into mysteries you know and would love to help." I said, giving a grin.
"Alright. Wait.. you're that guy from Ice Nine Kills..." The officer noticed.
'Fuck..' I thought.
"Yeah! You a fan?"
"I've heard some of you're songs, their good! But the suspect that were looking for is the singer for INK."
I looked so confused to play in with my act, "Oh.. what did he do?" I asked.
"He tried to kill a 18 year old girl with a knife. Broke in, masked, and tried to kill, then ran. We don't know the motive yet."
"God... That's horrible. He seemed so nice.. he was my friend... not anymore." I said.
"If you don't mind, could you come to the police station down the road later today? We have to ask some questions." The Officer asked.
"Sure! What's your name?"
"Officer Plack."
"Alright, I'll be sure to come in."
"Thank you sir." Officer Plack thanked, walking away back to his car.
"No problem Officer!" I said, noticing the officer in the passenger seat giving me a glare, I smiled back.
As they pulled away, I closed the door and ran to the fridge, opening it to see Spencer's teeth rattiling.
"Sorry Spence." I said, helping him in getting out.
"Nah, you're good." He said.
"Lemmie go grab a blanket to warm you up." I said, pointing to the couch and running to grab one.
"Thank you Ricky."
After a while of talking on the couch, I fell asleep, my head resting on a pillow with a skull pattern on it. Ricky's couch was so comfortable, soft and warm. Thank you Ricky. I could feel Ricky's presence leave the room right when I fell asleep. He went back up to his room with his dog following.
