"And then he told me he would like to get to know more about me" you excitingly announced to Marcus who was clearly unimpressed by what you had just told him.

"Y'all are really doing everything in reverse" he said before shoving another full spoon of cereal in his mouth "I mean, you two have been seeing each other for about 2 weeks and it's only now that he's trying to get to know you" He continued after properly chewing and swallowing his food.

"Why can't you just be happy for me ?" You rolled your eyes as you stood up to wash your empty bowl. He had a fair point but you and Nanami's relationship was supposed to stay sexual, so him wanting to be more was very unexpected.

"I am, it's just a bit confusing" He stood up as well and joined you over the sink "I just don't want you to get played or anything" he said, rinsing his bowl under the water.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine" You reassured your friend "Hurry up, we're going to be late" you said, placing the bowl on the dish rack before drying your hands. Marcus nodded as he placed his bowl on the rack as well.

"By the way, how are things with Kev" You asked while the two of you exited the apartment after getting all your stuff and finally deciding to head to the café.

"We're cool" He shrugged as he stared scrolling on his phone.

"Alright" his answer wasn't really what you were expecting but you didn't want to bother him with questions.

"Don't you think Marcus and Kev have been acting weird lately ?" Mercedes asked as she stood next to you to make a drink for a client. Mercedes wasn't really aware of what the boys had going on. She had noticed Marcus' flirting but she didn't really think much of it.

"They had a little argument" you replied before grabbing the drink you had just finished and heading to the counter were an old lady was patiently waiting.

"Here you go ma'am, have a great day" You gave the lady a bright smile as you handed her the drink and she thanked you before leaving the café.

"But don't worry they cool now" you walked back to Mercedes who was almost done with her drink. The girl nodded and walked to the counter as soon as she had finished her drink. Your café was renowned for how fast your service was. The girl then grabbed a notepad and walked towards the couple that had just entered the café and sat down at a table.

"Y/N, your man is here" Marcus appeared next to you. Your eyes darted up to the counter where Nanami stood, staring at you.

"Hey" You greeted the man after quickly walking up to the counter "The usual ?"

"Just the drink, I'm not staying here" he announced and you nodded. You walked back to your station and rapidly made his drink. You had gotten quite good at making these types of drinks.

"Here you go" you handed him the drink and his hand grazed yours when he grabbed the cold cup.

"I was wondering if you were free tomorrow night to have dinner with me" his eyes darted down to his drink which he slightly shook to watch the ice move around.

"Like a date ?" You tilted your head to the side and Nanami's eyes darted back to you.

"Yeah, like a date" he responded, admiring the smile you wore on your face.

"Sure" you said , trying to contain your excitement and Nanami nodded "Have a great day" you said before he walked out of the café.

You looked around for Marcus so you could tell him the great news and you finally spotted him walking out of the kitchen, Kev following behind him.

"Nanami just asked me out on a date" You ran to the bespectacled boy who got startled by your loud voice.

"Kev just asked me out on a date" the man announced causing your smile to grow even wider "Look at us, getting asked out and shit" you both laughed.
