Ayda walked, bright wings hidden by a dark cloak, she tried to fit in, to not show her magic side,Leviathan didn't like magic, especially not her magic.
She made her way to the Golden Gates, craving something to keep her mind off Captain James, she hated that pirate more than anything, hated the way he treated the lesser people of Leviathan, he used her like a personal information dump, coming to her with a bag of money and only giving her a few gold.
She pushed open the doors, it was a quieter night, Garthy tended to the bar, their eyes meeting Ayda's for a second as she placed two gold on the counter, leaning her elbow on bar with a sigh.
"not a good night lovey?" he glanced at her, taking sympathy on the librian as she nodded, the scent of the sea was on her blouse, it wasn't exactly strange, living on a moving city of ships and all, but Ayda hated the sea, hated any water that wasn't boiling hot.
"got a visit from James, wanted some information on Bill's kid" she sighed slightly, her wings flaring up slightly "there wasn't anything good on him anyway"
Garthy nodded along to her as she talked "well then, I'll get one of the showers heated for you" they smiled at her, Ayda returned the gesture.
She watched the bartender walk upstairs into the housing area, something small with a couple rooms up to rent, Ayda rented out one, Garthy stayed in the other.
She watched them return a few minutes later, handing her a towel, newly washed and dried "I'll get some food on for you" they smiled sweetly, Ayda nodded.
She walked upstairs quickly, walking into the bathroom on the left, the room was filled with steam, although Ayda didn't mind, she stripped herself down, hanging her clothes up on a small peg by the door before stepping into the boiling water, letting it cover her.
She let out a small hum, relaxing under the water as it hit her shoulders, she blocked out all her other senses, letting the stress get washed away by the water, James was getting on her nerves recently, she wanted to punch his stupid squid face until he was squirting blood out of his dumb beak.
She didn't know why she hated James, maybe it was his cocky attitude, maybe it was that he was always surrounded by people, maybe Ayda envied that, she was lonely, she'd admit that in a second, sure she had Garthy, and Alistor, but they didn't give her the kind of attention she craved.
Ayde knew what she wanted, she wanted someone. Not just anyone though, she wanted someone like her, someone who understood that her mind was not something to be changed, but something to be praised, something to be accepted and loved, she wanted someone who sat by her side in the admittedly long study sessions, someone who'd wrap her up in a blanket and kiss her head.
She wanted to be kissed, a lot. She wanted someone to kiss her, to cup her cheek, call her stunning as they kissed her gently, she wanted passion filled kisses, one that left her with butterflies in her stomach and her mind fuzzy as she hid a deep blush.
But she didn't just want anyone, she didn't want some bloke that flirted, she didn't want some dick that commanded, she didn't want some showoff that bragged about power.
She didn't want just anyone.
