It turns out the president and the v.p of this charter were both dirty and had been working for Jimmy O for months now. Now with them out of the way we only had to deal with Kellan Ashby, he was the last person to have Abel so Jax was gone to see him again. I was sitting away from everyone after last nights bomb I just wanted to go home but I couldn't leave without Abel.
"Are you done with the pity party?" Gemma asked sitting across from me
"I don't know what you're talking about I'm just busy this morning."
"I know you see her looking at you every five minutes."
"Did you know?" I asked and she rolled her eyes
"No."
"Really because there has been tension between you and Maureen since I got here."
"No I didn't know! I know you like to think the worse of me but I didn't know my husband has another goddamn family on the other side of the world!" She said and it was my turn to roll my eyes
"I'm sorry ok. I'm sorry this shattered your perfect image of your dad. The one parent that could do no wrong I hate to break it to you babe he was a man of the club and he had affairs. Every time he left us." She said and I shook my head
"Yeah maybe I idolized him but so does Jax and so did Tommy, but you never spoke to them or treat them the way you've always treated me. That's why I stuck by my dad, that's why I was always so happy when he came home because he talked to me and treated me like a person. He took the time to get to know me which is more than I can ever say for you. If we're being honest we both know he wasn't the only one having affairs.....Isn't that right Mrs. Morrow?" I said and if looks could kill I'd be dead but I picked up my stuff and walked away.
What's wrong?" Tony asked squinting his eyes at me through the phone
"I'm just ready to come home, I miss you."
"Do I need to fly out? Iron man can be there in less than an hour."
"No you can't fix what's going on here, I just needed to see your face."
"You're not really convincing me to stay put." He said
"It's just the same old bullshit I get from being around my family particularly my mother." I said with an eyeroll
"Just focus on the reason you're there Abel. Let all the rest of it go."
"You're one to talk about focusing, how's things going with the defense committee?"
"Like you haven't been following.... Stern is coming for me hard but Rhodey is taking care of it."
"Tony stop putting everything on Rhodey, he could lose his job."
"Then I'll hire him."
"With what company?" I said and he looked confused then he frowned
"You're a bad friend that you wont give your old buddy a job." He teased and I laughed
"I never said that."
"Yes you did, I'll break the news to him gently." He said
"You better not tell him that," I said the door opened and Jax walked in
"Hey I got to go" I said quickly
"Alright call me later, be safe," He said and I nodded then hung up]
"What's up?" I asked him
"We found him," He said and I felt relief
"Where is he?"
"We're going to get him."
"I'm coming." I said taking his hand
He explained what was going on the way, father Kellan had Abel up for adoption as some black market orphanage. Where people can buy babies, it made me sick to my stomach that a supposed man of God would do this. Once again things went back to our father, who told Kellan apparently how much he wanted out of the club and for Jax not to be apart of it. He decided that Jax was in to deep and Abel deserved a chance.
The orphanage was only an hour away from where were staying. We walked through and were led into the room with six bassinets, I walked over and started checking but none of them were Abel
"I'm sister Miriam. Father Ashby said you'd be coming by." The head nun spoke up
"Where's my son?" Jax asked walking over to her
"Please come have a seat." She said calmly and I snapped
"We don't want to sit down where's Abel!"
"He was given to a family two days ago." She said and stepped towards her but Opie pulled me back
"What family? Where is he now?" Jax asked her
"I don't know we handle everything through a third party to assure everyone privacy."
"TELL ME WHERE MY SON IS!" Jax screamed and a security stepped forward but Jax pushed him
"I'm sorry." She said as the babies began to cry
"If he's been gone for two days then Kellan knew." Opie said to Jax
"That means he's still giving us the run around." I said and I saw a dark look cross Jax's face
"I'm going to kill that son of a bitch." Jax said and turned to leave we started to walked out when Gemma bent over in pain
"Mom?" Jax said going to her side
"Is it your chest?" I asked when she reached out and grabbed the security's gun we all stepped back as she pointed the gun at sister Miriam
"Jesus Christ." Opie said
"Bring me that baby!" She said to the other nun who was holding a baby. She brought the baby over and Gemma took the baby and pointed the gun at her.
"Have you lost your fucking mind!?" I snapped
"We know this is bullshit, you all keep playing games. Now tell me where my grandson is or I swear to God I will cut this baby in half!'
"Go get the paperwork." Sister Miriam said
We left the orphanage ten minutes later with the address of where Abel
"I want to go with you." I said to Jax
"No I need to scope out the situation, I'll meet you guys back at the compound. Why don't you make sure everything is ready to take us back home."
"Done" I said then let him go.
