A Cheesy Discussion

It was around 10:00 at night, and Chat Noir had just come back from defeating yet another villain akumitized by Hawk Moth. He leaped into his room through the window and hit the floor with a somewhat stylish pose. "Claws in." 

As soon as he was back to his regular self, he flung himself onto his bed and sighed happily. "Wow, Ladybug. She's so awesome, isn't she Plagg?" Plagg, who had already started eating his camembert, replied with a full mouth, "Oh, uh, yeah, totally. But -- don't you think you need to move on, Adrien?" 

Adrien shook his head. "She'll always be the one I love. Even if she doesn't love me back..." he trailed off, frowning. "What do you think?" Plagg swallowed his camembert and replied, "Well, take it from me. Cheese is life. Sometimes I might go and try Brie, or something else. But no matter what, I'll always come back to my favorite, camembert." He popped another block of cheese into his mouth and burped. Adrien laughed. "Typical," he said, grinning. 

"Hey, what can I say?" Plagg replied. "Anyways, give me a minute to finish my cheese." 

Adrien chuckled, and layed in bed, staring at the ceiling. "I just hope she'll love me, someday." As his eyes started drooping, he yawned softly. He closed his eyes, and within moments, he was asleep. 

 *The Next Morning*

Adrien woke up groggily to somebody shaking his shoulder. "Adrien! Adrien!" a voice called. He slowly opened his eyes, and a hazy view of a tall woman appeared above him. He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he looked up again. It was Nathalie, his father's assistant. 

"Adrien, you're going to be late! Go on and get dressed for school." Your bodyguard is waiting outside for you. Adrien nodded. "Sure, Nathalie." She left the room and Adrien threw on some clothes just as Plagg woke up. 

Plagg looked at Adrien quizzically. "Why are you in such a rush?" he asked. As he was combing his hair, Adrien replied, "I'm going to be late for school. Come on now Plagg, we gotta go." Adrien lifted his jacket so Plagg could go inside it, and dashed out of his room and outside with his schoolbag. 

His bodyguard grunted and motioned for him to get inside the car. Once he did, the car took off, leading him straight to Francois Dupont High School. The last of the students had all started to head inside, so Adrien got out of the car, thanking his driver for the lift, and raced up the steps praying that Ms. Boustier wouldn't mark him absent.  

He reached his classroom and Ms. Boustier had just begun roll call. "Adri-" she cut off when she saw him enter the classroom. "Oh, there you are, Adrien. You may take a seat." She smiled warmly, gesturing towards his spot next to Nino. "You made it just in time." 

Adrien walked over to his seat in the front row, fist-bumping Nino as he approached him. "Hey, my dude!" Nino greeted him. "Hey, Nino!" Adrien said back.

The two quieted down as Ms. Boustier continued taking attendance. "Juleka?" she called. "Here..." mumbled a soft voice from a back row. "Great! Marinette?" Marinette, who was sitting in the row behind Adrien, fumbled for a second before giving her an answer. "Huh? Oh, uh- yes, um...I'm here!" 

Ms. Boustier chuckled. "You seem a bit distracted today from where you're sitting, Marinette. Would you like to go to the back, or are you fine where you're sitting now?" Marinette squeaked, then cleared her throat. "Oh um, n-no miss, I'm fine right now...". she laughed awkwardly for a moment, then fell silent.

Ms. Boustier continued attendance as Alya nudged Marinette knowingly. "Distracted by you-know-who again? Wouldn't be the first time, huh?" Marinette groaned quietly. "How can I not? He's just so...perfect." she sighed. 

Alya rolled her eyes. "Okay girl. Whatever you say." she chuckled, turning back to Ms. Boustier. "Let's just hope you're not this distracted as Ladybug."
