Welcome to Hell

(Your POV)

I'm viciously ripped from my sleep by an obnoxious beeping, sounding from the nightstand next to me. I groan, slamming a hand onto the annoying alarm clock's button to shut it up. Monday. My favourite...

Tumbling out of bed, still not quite awake yet, I slowly make my way to my closet and pull off my sleepwear. I grab a t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a grey hoodie, lazily putting the articles on. I walk to the bathroom to fix myself up before I leave. After I finish, I grab my bag, filling it with school essentials, then slide into my shoes, running out to the bus.

I dig out my earbuds, plugging them into my ears to drown out the early Monday drama. A couple of preppy girls, 'discreetly' pointed at me. I watched their gloss covered lips move behind their hands, their eyes moving from each other to me. I sighed, looking down to my phone's screen to completely detach myself from the world around me.

When I arrived at Hell- er...school, I pushed through the crowd of people, trying to avoid eye contact with anybody. I quickly got to my locker and placed my things inside. I grabbed the books I needed for the first class of the day and went to close the locker.

Suddenly I felt pressure on my back as I was shoved forward, my forehead slamming against the locker door. Pain shot through me, a ringing sound in my ears, I got a headache instantly. "Excuse you, freak." I heard the voice of the girl I hated most. I closed my locker, not even bothering turning around, fearing a death of a certain somebody may occur. "Damn emos." Said Jen as she walked away with a group of her friends.

I gritted my teeth, rubbing my forehead in pain and anger as I walked into first period. Small giggles echoed throughout the room as I took my seat. Assuming a mark was left by the collision with the metal door, I crossed my arms over my desk, hiding my face in them.

School dragged along slowly, but it finally ended. I quickly grabbed my things and walked out of the prison. Deciding on not taking the bus home, I walked the path behind the forest to my house.

I shoved my hand into my hoodie pocket, blasting music out of my earbuds. Sure, the quiet of the forest was nice, but I'd rather disappear into music. It helps calm me down.

I noticed a white flash out of the corner of my eye. I whipped my head to face the direction it came from. Nothing. I huffed, continuing my slow walk home. I took in the green of the forest and the smell of rain. I look up. It was cloudy, but I don't think it will rain just yet.

Again, a white flash from the side. I pull out my earbuds, looking around. I look behind me. Still nothing. -crack!!- I jump, heart racing, turning back around. A fat, white rabbit sat about ten feet away from me, chewing on a leaf

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I said to the rabbit. The dumb thing froze, looking at me for a few seconds before jumping away into the brush. I sighed, grumbling and cursing under my breath about my stupid paranoia. I reached my hands up to put my earbuds back in, but paused. I thought what I saw was at eye level...oh well.

When I got home, I kicked off my shoes and walked to the bathroom. I looked at my forehead, and sure enough, there was a blue bruise on my forehead. Great. I frowned and walked to my room, plopping onto the bed, quickly falling asleep.
