She was like fire. Extinguished by the water. I was like ice. I was made out of water.
She wielded a scythe. All I had was a simple knife.
She grinned and made others fright. Mine, to others, were quite bright.
Looking into her eyes, I knew it was her. This was meant to be. The only problem was her weapon, a scythe named Sharp, who seemed to hate me.
I've been traveling with them for more than two weeks. Hasn't it gotten used to me yet? It's obvious Nellie likes me as much as it. Why can't it just accept me?
"Hey, Frost," Nellie's voice caught my attention back to the present. "Are you listening?"
"Oh," I blinked at her, seeing her black bangs brush her forehead at the movement of the light breeze. "Yes," I smiled. "I'm listening to you."
"Well," Nellie continued the conversation. "As I was saying, there's this world Sharp and I discovered last year. I wanted to show you this pretty cave we found," she smiled, shyly. So cute! My heart started pumping faster. "So I was going to ask if it's ok if I use my teleportation powers on you."
I nodded. Nellie's going to show me something! I mentally exclaimed. "Of course!"
"Ok," She answered. She lightly grabbed my hand as I blushed with delight. Taking the scythe and closing her eyes, a fog of red started to swirl around us. And before I knew it, we were standing on the hill of soft green grass. I could feel it against the scales of my bare feet. So cold, yet, soothing. She sighed. "Here it is!"
I gleamed. The sight was beautiful. This world. I never imagined there were any other worlds besides the human world and the underworld.
She took my hand again and began running towards a shimmering snow capped mountain. She stopped at an opening it. I could see light coming from the inside.
"Where are the lights coming from?" I asked.
She grinned, mischievously. "You'll see." She took me into the cave. Closer and closer the glowing came as we walked. I savored every second with her by my side.
Suddenly, we came to a stop. "Look up," she said. And I did. My eyes widened as I saw the glowing crystals on the ceiling of the cave. I glanced around me, catching the sight of white, red, and neon green mushrooms. Some had white spots scattered on their caps.
"Isn't it magnificent?" Her eyes sparkled in the glow of the mushrooms and crystals.
I took in a deep breath. This was my time to say it. To confess. "Beautiful and magnificent just like you..."
She swiveled her head towards me at those words. "Really?"
I couldn't believe that she didn't believe me. I took her into a gentle but tight hug, "Really, Nellie, really. I mean it." and gave her a small peck on her cheek. I really, really like you.
She hugged me back. "Thank you, Froststorm."
Right at that heartwarming moment, I heard the clack of Sharp's handle hitting the floor in anger... or maybe even, perhaps, jealousy?

(Author's note: Don't mind Frost's name . _ . I wasn't very creative- He was kind of a rushed character-)
