They spent the class working on the project. Although Lucas never talked, Emily seemed fine with it.
Once class was over, Emily smiled at him and gave him her phone number. "I'll text you my dorm info." She smiled. "Hope your day gets better!" She said as she stood. Little did she know, his day would get better.
As the day went by, they never seen each other. Even at lunch, Emily couldn't find Lucas.
After school, Emily texted him. "5:30pm at the women's dorm. 321." There was a pause in the texting. "Can't wait to see you."
Once Lucas read the text message, he smiled. He didn't think Emily even wanted to be near him, or anyone did. Lucas walked back to his dorm, going upstairs he ignored the guys in the hall ways. He was used to hearing them anyways.
He went into his dorm and threw his bag down. He took out his notebook and sat at his desk. He quickly took out his pencil and started working on the project they had to make. He wrote so fast, everyone in the class always believed he was just scribbling random words. Or just lines.
Once the clock hit 5:00pm he jumped up. He scrambled to get his stuff together and he darted downstairs. He knew that 5-9 was when the older guys got drunk in the hallways and fought each other. He quickly went outside and caught his breath, then he headed down to her dorm.
The girl's building was a lot neater then any other building on this street. Or Im this town. They always kept it clean. He went inside and climbed up the stairs to room 321. He carefully knocked. "Oh! Luke! Hold on! One second!" Emily called as she scrambled to get her notebook put away, not realising that the corner was sticking out from under her pillow. She got up and opened the door. "Hi!" Emily giggled. "Come in! Come in!" She stepped out of his way. Lucas smiled and slowly came inside. He put his head down once he realised he was smiling. "Oh come on. Is my floor that much prettier then me that you have to stare at it?" She mad a pouty face and put her hand on his chin, slowly lifting it until she saw his beautiful blue eyes that looked almost fake. She stared at him, before he jerked his chin from her and turned from her. He then noticed the notebook sticking out from under her pillow. He raised one eyebrow. "What's that?" Lucas said. Emma's eyes widened, not only at the fact he talked, but the fact he noticed her notebook. "Nothing. Just don't look at it." She put her head down. "Then it's not nothing." Lucas argued. "Okay. Just go ahead. Look at it and tell me how terrible I am." Emily looked at him. Lucas took the notebook, his arm stretching out and exposing the open cuts on his arms, some still bleeding. Emily raised her eyebrows as Lucas looked at the beautiful drawings Emma made. "These are amazing." Lucas smiled. "You don't deserve that." She said as she took the notebook from him and pulled up his jacket sleeve.
