"You didn't"

"Oh, but I did. You'll thank me later." Luke had called me over to come see a video of him singing. The video was great and so is his voice.

"Tara..." Luke whined.

"Luke..." I mocked.

"I told you not to upload it. WHY WOULD YOU UPLOAD IT?" Luke was freaking out and talking about how people were gonna make fun of him, and that he was no good.

"Luke you are amazing at singing and trust me girls will think you're cute." That got him to smile. He finally stopped arguing with me and we decided to watch a movie. When the movie was over I had to go home.

The next day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wake up to my annoying phone ringing.
"Hello" Eww is that how I sound. I sound like a dying horse.
"GOOD MORNING TARA!!!!!!" I know that voice anywhere.
"Calum, how are you so happy in the morning?" I asked Calum who made it his #1 priority to be my personal alarm clock. I hate it.
"Because Tara it's the start of a new day, what's not to love?" He booms.
"Maybe the fact that I have to go to school. And may I remind you I don't go to school with you guys anymore. I have no friends at this school and everyone knows how much of a reject I am." I had to move schools a month ago do to drama. So, no more friends.
"Tara, you will be okay. And stop saying you're a reject. YOU ARE FUCKING AWESOME."
"Okay, I'm getting up now I'll see you after school. Bye Cal-Pal."
"Bye-bye Tara." I got out of bed and took a shower, got dressed, grabbed my stuff, said goodbye to my big ass family and was out the door.
I sat through my boring English and Science classes with no problems. But as soon as I get into Math, the one subject that I like, there's trouble. The stupid kids in class were throwing paper balls at me and on the inside they said things like 'Slut,' 'Fat,' 'Ugly,' 'Idiot,' 'Why are you even here?' 'Just kill yourself already,' and my personal favorite, 'REJECT'.
"Tara, passing notes are we?" The teacher shook her head. "See me after class."
She didn't give me detention but I still feel like shit. Thank god that the hallways are empty because everyone is either in class or at lunch. I walk towards the bathroom where I have been eating so I can stay away from all the drama. As I walk I see a boy who sitting up against the lockers. He had dirty blonde hair and was wearing headphones, drumming away on a binder. I found myself giggling because he looks cute . He looks up and stops drumming and looks down all sad.
"Hey, why'd you stop." He looked up again but confused this time. "What? You had a nice beat going." I pretend to drum in the air. He laughs and smiles a little.
"My name's Tara. What's yours drummer boy?" He stands up and replies.
"Ashton."
"Why'd you stop earlier?"
"I...well, you were laughing at me. Why were you laughing at me?" Ashton looked so serious. It made me sad to see him like this.
"I was laughing 'cause I thought you were cute." He scoffed as if to say he was the ugliest man alive. "I'm guessing you're a 'REJECT', huh?" He looked down again. I pulled the papers that were all crumpled up and handed them to him. Ashton read through them and looked at me as if he felt sorry for me.
"This one's my favorite," I gave him the reject one and he smiled at me. "I know that we just met but, I have a question to ask you"
"Okay"
"Do you have any friends here? I'm not trying to sound rude or anything but, I'm still kind of new and I only have three friends and they all go to my old school."
"No. I don't have any friends here. My friends go to a different school, too, but ther are only two of them." I put my hand out for him to shake and said,
"Hi, my name is Tara and I am your reject best friend." He shook my hand and laughed. The bell rang signaling for us to go to class.
"Meet me at my locker after school. It's locker 307, okay?" He simply nodded.
The rest of the day flew by and I was on my way to my locker. Ashton was waiting there and it brought a smile to my face.
"Okay, ready to hear about my crazy family?" I asked him. He seemed nervous but agreed. Thank god Ashton had a car because I did not feel like walking.
"So there's my mum, my dad, my older brother Tyler who's 21 and twins with my sister Amber but they're both at UNI, my little sister Ryan who is 14, my younger twin brothers Matt and Nolan who are 13, and last but not least there's Madi, the youngest at 8 years old." I looked to see if he got all that. All I saw was a shocked and dumbfounded Ashton.
"Wow. You got a big family."
"Yeah, I know."
"Your parents need a new hobby." He laughed at his own comment which made me laugh myself. His laugh is just so contagious.
"Okay, what about you? Any brothers or sisters?"
" I have a brother and a sister."
"Really? Younger, older what's the situation?"
"Both younger. It goes me, my sister Lauren, and then my brother Harry and we live with our mum."
"Cool." We finally get to my house and there's a note in the counter from my parents telling us they will be home late and that there's food in the refrigerator. So, since it seems I'm the first one home(thanks to Ashton and his car) I hopped on his back and he gave me a piggy-back ride up to my room. When we get there I regret giving my best friends a spare key.
