~Breakup~Natasha x Reader~

A/N Im getting a lot better ideas for my writings lately so expect better chapters!

~You were an Avenger after they recruited you from Coulson's team on the bus, you and Natasha started dating and recently got into a huge fight and broke up, a month later she got together with Wanda so you decided to go back to Coulson's team and ended up writing a song about the breakup but someone hears you (based on the song Happier by Ed Sheeran btw every time it refers to a guy pretend its a girl)~

~Flashback~

"We are done Y/n" Natasha said the words you had dreaded her saying since you got together

"I-I-I" you tried to say some thing but you could only stutter Natasha scoffed then walked out of your shared room.

~End Flashback~

After Nat got together with Wanda I couldn't bear to see them laugh together and cuddle on the couch watching movies just like you and Nat did at one point, so you called Coulson last week to see if you could rejoin the team. After you had talked with the Avengers about it no one wanted you to leave but they all reluctantly agreed.

The bus was at the compound and you said goodbye to everyone and then got in. You hadn't told them about you and Natasha breaking up yet. When you got in you saw Coulson's precious car Lola and the lab Simmons was in there so you dropped your stuff and ran in there.

"Jemma!!" 

"Y/n!!"

"I didn't know you were coming" she said

"Coulson didn't tell you I'm back?"

"What! You are?! He never told us!"

You guys hugged for a bit til Fitz came in he was looking at something and didn't even realize you were there

"Fitz" Jemma said

"What" he said looking up from his papers

"Y/n!" He said realizing you were there and he came over to hug you

After having a reunion with every one you, Skye, and Jemma decided to catch up, they told all the new near death experiences they had, then you told them about working with the Avengers 

"Oh how are you and Natasha?" Skye asked. You tensed up and felt your eyes start to water

They both got the hint then went to give you a hug

"She's so much happier without me I can tell" you said tears streaming down your cheeks 

"You'll be happy again soon too" Skye said you knew she was right but you were still in love with Natasha and didn't want to let her go.

It was late at night everyone was asleep and you couldn't sleep so you got out your guitar and started playing and singing .

Walking down 29th and Park

I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours

You were thinking about when you were on a walk and saw Nat and Wanda together they were laughing and smiling at each other and it broke your heart you were very much still in love with her.

You always acted as if you were happy for her and that nothing had happened when they were together you wanted to ball your eyes out but you held it in you knew you broke her heart but it was in a moment of anger and you loved her so much.

You were at your happiest when you were with her and you knew it but you wanted to be happy for her cause she is a lot happier without you and you wanted to let her go but your heart said otherwise.

Everything you looked at was making you think of Natasha and you hated it you wanted to forget about her but you couldn't. Even looking at a bottle of water made you think abut her and you didn't know why.

You needed her or you needed someone to be there with you but you know that you don't deserve her anymore but you have loved her since you first saw her and you never want to let go.

I could try to smile to hide the truth
But I know I was happier with you

You always smile because smiling and saying your okay to everyone is easier than explaining to every one why your not okay. (That hit me hard. Sorry keep reading-Author)

As many times as you told everyone you were fine you weren't and knowing she was happier without you and you were happier when you were with her made it worse but you knew you needed to get it together so you could do your job.

You wanted to tell her to get back together but you knew if you did it would make the situation worse so you decided against it.

"Hey" Coulson said after coming out of the shadows in the corner

"Oh my fucking god don't do that to me" You replied startled

"Sorry." He said then he paused "I want to to be honest with me when I ask you this question"

"Oh god what now" You asked sarcastically

"Are you okay? I know you loved Natasha with all your heart and you dont want to let her go."

"Honestly I dont really know but this is how im coping I write songs and I cry and I do my job, mostly the crying part"

"You know if you need to talk im here right?"

"Yeah I know"

"Alright well let me know if you need anything"

"I will"

"By the way when your ready I heard Maria has a thing for you" He whispered with a wink
