Let me begin this story with a familiar one I'm sure that many have already heard....

Water, Earth, Fire, Air. 

Long ago the 4 Nations lived in peace until the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar master of all 4 elements can stop it, but when the world needed him most... He Vanished.

A 1000 years have past and now there is a new Avatar an Airbender named Aang and although his skills are great he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone...but I believe Aang can save the world.

Sound about right? well I am afraid I'll have to inform you that the story you heard before is nothing like the one I'm about to tell.

What if I told you that Aang wasn't the only one to be raised to control all 4 elements? What if there was another who had the abilities and qualifications to become the Next Avatar? what would you say? Would you belive my words?

No matter, even if you choose to believe me or not I will tell you the story of another.

A girl named Xerina, born into the Fire Nation. On her mother's side her grandparent's born of the Fire and Earth kingdom's who married and bore a daughter named Mariah. On her father's side her grandparent's born of the Air Nomads and the Northern Water Tribes who married and had a son named Cirrus. Mariah and Cirrus met and fell in love bearing a daughter named Xerina who has inherited each members ability to bend the elements.

Xerina was raised just outside the palace gates. Where she befriended the young Prince Zuko before his banishment, they would talk, play and practice Fire Bending all day. The Fire Lords wife treated them very kindly, even allowing her to enter the palace walls to play with Zuko whenever there was an uneventful day. A few years had passed from when they were children and she was given a position in the Royal Palace as Zuko's personal assistant/servant and play mate with her parents approval, she spent those days at his side. They became very close and shared many secrets and promises for just the two of them to share, she was always happy to help him as much as she could for with him she could freely speak her mind and truly be herself and he as himself not as a Royal Prince and Peasent, just simply a girl and a boy.
