Just as I walked down the hall by the bathroom, I saw myself in the mirror and all I could think is "I need to adjust." I didn't like my black hair (as a black hole) I didn't like my green eyes and I hated the pimple in the middle of my forehead. I was too tall for a 16 year old and I had pale lips. My mother would never let me wear makeup so that made it worse, once and a while the occasional lips gloss was ok, but that's me Cindy Miller. My friend Hidey Leslie was beautiful with her perfect straight blonde hair and silvery blue eyes (she was allowed to wear makeup) I'm lucky we became friends in the first grade. If we didn't we would not be friends now, she's too pretty and popular. I'm not really the popular one I'm more of the person that people know about, but don't want to talk to. We became friends because I spilt my apple juice box all over her and we broke down on the ground laughing, we have been friends ever since. My mom and dad got a divorce when I was seven and my mom has been doing really well with it my dad well I haven't seen him since. My mom met a strange helpless man named Levi Sanister and got married to him, I don't like him he always blames me or my mom for everything, he never cleans up after himself, and he smell like beer. My crush, Austin Timmer is one of popular people he has and he's dating Silvia Morris a pretty blonde with light brown highlights in her hair, she has arctic blue eyes and pink lips with a perfect face and body, she always did her makeup and it looked great. Almost every guy likes her except for Tom Anderson he likes me, and I hate it everyone makes fun of me because the one guy that likes me is Tom. Tom's also not one of the popular people he's got braces, brown eyes, glasses and bad acne, he is the dork you see in the movies the one that gets good grades all the time, the one that spends his whole life on video games.
"Ding Dong" the doorbell rang it was Hidey, I woke up and realized I was late for school
"OH NO!" I ran to try and find some clothes I quickly ate breakfast and ran out the door"I'm going to have to stop picking you up for school if your going to be late." Hidey said, Hidey has a car so I catch a ride with her and Hidey has never been late or missed a day of school.
"I know I'm sorry" I said "I just hate waking up in the morning."
"Well we can't be late or miss school" Hidey said in an angry voice "how are we going to get into the same college if we are missing school."
"don't worry Hidey we'll get into collage you've never missed a day of school and you're so smart, besides college isn't for another year or two" i said in a supportive voice
"i've got to worry, i can't afford to miss school and neither can you" Hidey said as we pulled out of the driveway.
On our way to school all I could think about was my mom and Levi, they were arguing when I left. Levi was saying how I need to grow up, my mom said "she's too young to grown up, let her be a kid Levi." Levi sometimes get fiscal with my mom when she doesn't agree with her, that's what I was most worried about.
"So did you finish the biology homework" Hidey said.
"No, I didn't get around..." I said
Then Hidey interrupted me in a surprising voice "Cindy!"
"What!" I said "I'll get it done tomorrow, now can we please stop talking about school."
We were finally at school and the first person I saw was Austin, my heart stopped and couldn't move.
"Come on Cindy" Hidey said impatiently as she pulled on my arm to try to get me moving. The bell rang and I was still thinking about Austin, there's just something about him that makes me doze off and forget everything. "Miss Miller, the bell rang five minute ago" said the school printable Mrs. Kay.
"Sorry Mrs. Kay" I said as I ran off to class.
Just before I walked through the doors to AP Biology I bumped into Silvia Morris, "oh sorry Silvia I didn't see you" I said in a voice of embarrassment.
"Well than, watch where you're going!" Silvia said angrily as she walked away
I after AP biology I saw Silvia and Austin together, and I almost wanted to cry. I went to my locker and the lock was broken, found a note on my mirror it said what's ugly, stupid and fat all over... You HAHAHA. And I saw Silvia laughing on the benches as I turned around.
"What the hell!" Said Hidey "why would someone put that, it's all lies."
"Thanks Hidey" I said.
At the end of the day I was walking home, as I was walking Austin was just finishing up his football practice and he ran up to me and said "hey, I just want you to know I didn't think it was very cool of Silvia to do that."
"Thanx." I said
"Yeah, well I'll catch you later." Austin said in a cute voice
When I got home I saw Levi and my mom still arguing but it wasn't about me this time it was about something else.
