Matthews P.O.V

It didn't take long for the unknown number to text back.

I made sure this was the right number. Don't play all innocent or I will break your ugly face when I see you. Matt is mine and you know it. s.t.a.y. a.w.a.y f.r.o.m. h.i.m.

Ouch. I debated whether to text back or not. Ashley shifted in my lap and mumbled something before opening her eyes and looking at me.

"Is that my phone?" She asked in a tired voice as she sat up to stretch.

"Uh, yeah. It is."

She rubbed her blue eyes and tucked a strand of sandy blonde hair behind her ear.

"Why do you have it then?" She asked.

"Well, it started ringing and I didn't want you to wake up so I went to turn it off."

"Oh. Who was it?" She asked, snatching her phone.

"Ew is this Chrisanne?"

"Yeah," I said chuckling.

She turned off her phone and tossed it on the ground.

"Well I don't care. I'll just deal with her at school tomorrow." She said smiling.

I smiled back and she brought her hand up to my head and ruffled my hair.

"We should eat." I said.

"We should!" She agreed and jumped up, walking to the kitchen. I followed her in and wrapped my arms around her pale, petite frame.(a/n my bestie would kill for this moment)

I kissed her cheek and she giggled, stretching her arm up to grab the box of eggos waffles.(however it's called)

She jumped and tapped the box, it shifted only a bit but didn't fall. She grunted and gave up on trying to retrieve the box and stepped out of the way.

"Want me to get it?" I asked, smiling.

"Yes please." She said, glaring at the box. If looks could kill that box you be in flames.

I chuckled and reached for the box. I took out four waffles and set the box back on the shelf and closed the freezer door.

Ashley popped them in the toaster and I grabbed two plates and two forks. I set it on the table and once the waffles popped up I placed them in the plate.

"Yay!" Ashley said, clapping her hands. She poured syrup onto her waffle and dug in.

"These waffles are the bomb!" She said with a mouthful.

"They are just store bought waffles, ash. Nothing special."

She scoffed.

"Gee, thanks for killing my waffle vibe."

I laughed and took a bite of my waffles.

Ashley's P.O.V

Once I finished my waffles I told Matt I would change into the clothes I was wearing before we went to the beach and he nodded.

After I changed I threw my hair into a messy bun.

I looked in the mirror. I looked different. What was once a broken girl with tear stained cheeks is now a girl full of colour and happiness. She made a mental note to watch out for Matt, that he might just be hurting her in the worst way possible-breaking her heart.

OK I HATE MYSELF FOR NOT UPDATING IM SORRY THERE ARE NO MORE EXCUSES!
