Our hero's finished watching Matt's battle, and our about to leave the gym.
Until..
"Hey you! With the Chikorita!" Someone said
"Oh! Its Jack, what's up?" Isaiah said.
"Don't say "What's up?" Like were friends... I'm still wanting to battle you, you cant be all that strong." Jack said, confidently.
"Don't be so confident Isaiah, he had his second badge before you did." Ryan said while grooming his Ponyta.
"This battle will be a two on two battle, no substitutions. Battle Begin!" Gabbi said.
"Alright, Chikorita! Your up!" Isaiah said.
Chikorita came out ready for battle!
"Alright Pikachu, Go!" Jack said.
"Now, Chikorita use Razor Leaf!" Isaiah said.
"Pikachu dodge that Razor Leaf and return with a Thunder Shock!" Jack demanded.
A tiny jolt of electricity, poured out of Pikachu's red cheeks, hitting Chikorita hard. Chikorita got back up quickly.
"Aha! Chikorita is a pure grass Pokemon, so electric type moves wont cause a lot of damage! Maybe Isaiah did plan this after all...way to go." Ryan said to himself.
"Alright then Pikachu, Return!" Jack said.
"Huh?!" Ryan, Gabbi, and Matt exclaimed.
"Now, Quilava, standby for battle!" Jack yelled.
"Quilavaa!" It exclaimed.
Pokedex- Quilava, the Volcano Pokémon. Quilava is the evolved form of Cyndaquil and capable of incredible attacks using the flame on its back.
"Wow..he must of evolved his starter he got from the professor..." Isaiah said, a little bit worried.
"Now! Quilava, use Flame Wheel!" Jack said with a smirk.
Quilava hit Chikorita with a super-effective Flame Wheel, Knocking Chikorita out.
"Chikorita is unable to battle, Quilava wins." Ryan said.
"Ha! Your Pokemon are worthless!" Jack laughed.
"Hmm...what do I have to handle fire types...I know..Go! Slowpoke!" Isaiah said.
"I forgot, Isaiah caught Slowpoke after saving my badge from it!" Matt remembered.
"Slowpoke, use Water Gun!" Isaiah said.
The Slowpoke landed a super-effective Water Gun on Quilava, however it didn't knock it out entirely.
"You see, when a Pokemon is evolved, it learns new moves, and is more stronger. So Quilava was able to take that Water Gun pretty hard and manage to get back up." Jack said with confidence.
"Now, use Swift!" Jack commanded.
"Slowpoke dodge that, then hit it with Confusion!" Isaiah called out.
Isaiah's Slowpoke moved a lot faster than any other Slowpoke for some reason.
It landed a Confusion before the Swift attack came close, and Slowpoke knocked out Quilava out while hitting it hard on the ground. Leaving Quilava unable to contiune.
"Quilava is unable to contiune, the winner is Slowpoke!" Ryan shouted.
"Return...hmph! Pikachu round 2!" Jack called out.
"Isaiah is at a disadvantage, cause Pikachu is an electric type..." Gabbi said.
"Pikachu, Thunder Shock!" Jack said.
