Frozen Hearts

"Swapna..."

The voice made me froze. I didn't know how the way he spells my name managed to make a shiver ran through my spine even after one month of breakup.

"Swapna..." He repeated my name once again as I didn't respond at the first and this time it made me came back to my senses. Now only I realized that I was being silent.

" Dev..." words didn't come out of my mouth, with too much difficulty I responded back. His name made my chest tighten, it made me see all the past events like I was hallucinating.

" Where are you...? Are you ok...?" His question made me puzzled, the way he said this made the panic in his voice evident.

"What...?"I didn't want to extend the conversation, so I questioned back in one word. Without expressing my concerns.

"Please tell me where you are now?" He sounded like he was worried about me, but for what? I checked my phone again to find his name on the screen to make sure that I was not hallucinating.

"Why should I...?" I replied maintaining the steadiness in my voice. Because I didn't want to show him how weak I'm without him.

"Swapna, please tell me where you are now...?" He repeated the same words not bothering to answer my question.

He won't change!

"What's wrong with you...? I think you are intoxicated or else you won't be calling me now blabbering some nonsense..."

"Swapna... I'm..." that's it, that's the end of my patience.

" JUST SHUT UP, "I said cutting him in the mid-sentence and hung up the call. That Adhi Dev had the nerve to call me even after making my life miserable. Then only I realized that I was hyperventilating. Why does he had to do that to me always? Was that some kind of sick prank to him.

I felt like I can't walk anymore. I felt tired I don't know whether it was due to the long day or due to his phone call. I choose to walk on my way back from the private tutorial center because I thought it would help to clear my mind but I don't think I would get any more peace of mind. His call again got me back to the square one.

I could hear footsteps behind me, I turn around to see the approaching footsteps but I didn't see anyone. I felt like someone was following me. I turn around once again to see whether anyone was behind me but I didn't find anybody. My mind started to feel like something was going to happen, something bad. Does it have anything to do with Dev's call...............................
