p r o l o g u e
Dianna Rose Limbrey comes from generations of wealth, her mother Casey Limbrey was the identical twin to Carla Limbrey. Carla never married, but Casey did. Markus McKeen was born and raised on the Figure Eight. Markus and Casey meet at a yacht party, got married a year later and settled in a house on the Cut. The couple wanted their child to experience the freedom they never had.
When Dianna was in the third grade she meet Kiara Carrera in the school yard and they've been friends ever since. Then in the fifth grade she meet the three boys; JJ Maybank, Pope Heyward and John B Routledge. By the sixth grade the friend group was formed, though it was mostly the boys and Dianna up until 8th grade when Kie realized they were her only real friends.
In ninth grade, Dianna's life crumbled. Her father went missing at sea and was soon presumed dead, her mother never seemed to bounce back and turned to her wealth. She bought her and her daughter a fairly large home in the Figure Eight, just across the street from the Cameron's. Soon after Ward and Casey partnered with Big John B to search the Royal Merchant, when Big John went missing Dianna was devastated. Her father and other father figure had both went missing at sea in search of a shipwreck, something wasn't right.
She wanted to know what happened those two days on the boats and who else was there. Anyone who knew Markus McKeen and Big John knew they weren't the type to go missing doing the thing they loved most. Ward and Casey know Dianna'll catch on, they just don't know how soon.
