You haven't seen Charles since you parted ways at the airport in Hungary. He was flying to Mykonos to spend time with his family, and you were going back to work. You facetimed almost every night, and he would send you photos of things that made him think of you. He managed to brighten up your workdays, and you realised once again how fast you were falling in love with him. It made you incredibly nervous, because you wanted to talk about something big with him, and you felt like that subject could break this relationship up.
You've spoken to Lisa about it, and she said that you should just wait until the conversation flows towards that topic. You want to do that, but you also don't want to wait that long with having such a serious conversation. You sigh while walking the last bit to your home after another hectic day. 'Maybe I should go to the gym tonight, might help me to get out of my head for a bit' you muse to yourself before walking towards your apartment complex. After putting on your gym outfit you send Charles a text that you'll be at the gym, so that if he wants to call, you'll be available later tonight. He replies with a "okay mon ange, good luck at the gym! I'm heading towards dinner now. Miss you x" you smile before replying and grab your bag before walking towards the bus to take you to the gym.
The following days are spent the same, until there's only a day left until Charles arrives at your apartment. You managed to get 3 full days off, which means that you can spend quite some time together. He planned a few fun things for himself on the days that you were working, and it made you happy that he wasn't annoyed that you had to work. After getting home you clean up your place, doing the laundry, putting fresh sheets on your bed, and watering the plants. He should be arriving tomorrow evening, but you won't have enough time to do all this before he gets to your place, which is why you're doing it today. You're humming along to the songs of your playlist while getting everything ready. You and Charles facetime while you're eating dinner before you get ready for bed, nervous and excited to see your boyfriend again after 2 weeks.
Work was incredibly hectic, and you couldn't get away on your normal time. It frustrated you because Charles had already texted that he was in Portugal, and you wanted to be home so he could get into your apartment. You're finishing up the last things in a hurry when someone clears their throat. You're about to go mental when you look up and straight into the smiling eyes of your boyfriend. "How? What are you doing here!" you exclaim excitedly, and he chuckles before briefly touching your hand. "I came to pick you up, figured that would be just as easy. I parked my car in the parking of your apartment and walked here. I'll wait until you're ready to go! I missed you" he whispers the last part, and you blush while smiling. 15 minutes later you walk back towards your apartment, side by side, chatting about your day and his flight.
You're lifted and twirled around the moment you close the door to your apartment, and you squeal while holding onto Charles' shoulders. "I missed you so much the past few weeks!" he sets you down to the ground and wraps his arms around you. "I loved spending time with my family, but I couldn't stop thinking about you. I told them about you actually, I hope you don't mind..." he trails off while playing with you hair. You hum, "as long as you only told the good things about me" he nods while chuckling, "I can't think of anything that isn't good about you."
You're working the next two days, and Charles spends his time with visiting some Portuguese sponsors and catching up with a few friends. He even made dinner both days, which was the most adorable thing ever. Coming home to a man in a kitchen never looked so good before. He tells you about the fun things he did with his family, showing you all sorts of funny video's and photos and it makes you so happy to see how much he enjoyed himself. You realise how important family is to him, and it makes you a little bit anxious when you think of the subject that you still need to talk about. You push it to the back of your mind, deciding that you want to spend these days with having fun, and that you'll definitely talk about it soon.
