Chapter four

What can you expect when you are burning by fire

1.) pain
2.) your skin melting
3.) screaming
4.) more pain

But none of these things did I experience . It was actually just the opposite .

When I notice the fire didn't burn me . It didn't affect me at all . Of corse I felt the heat of the fire but I was hit like standing near a bonfire . You felt the heat of it .

It encased the my whole body . The scream died in my throat . Why wasn't I burning . I should be dead . Why am I not dead .

Control it . The witch commanded in my mind

No . I shook my head . The pain in my finger erupted again .

Control it . She pressed on the pain now spreading to every comer of my body . It felt like some one was putting hot coals on my chest . Burning it making it hard to breathe

I sighed and gave .

Bend the fire to your will . Tell it what to do .

I picture the fire going above my head forming a circle . It did nothing . The burning sensation worsened .

How did she expect me to do this with out breathing ?!?

Again . Her voice rang through out my head.

The pressuring on my chest because so bad , I couldn't breathe

I thought of the fire above my head in the form o a circle .

The edges of my vision turned black . The pounding of my head and the lack of breathing some how helped me .

The fire was above my head in the form of the circle . It looks like a mini sun . I thought before giving Into the darkness .

That fire changed me .

My blue eyes became red . I am now tainted . None of the supernatural creatures have red eyes .so that makes everyone I meet hate me . Change isn't good .

My light blonde hair was more of a dark golden now . After that fire I was stronger , faster , it enhanced my hearing , sight , an smell .

When I woke up . Everything had changed . Farley now had hair as black as night and her eyes were now a cold blue .

Grace . she now had brown hair and green eyes .Emily now had midnight blue hair almost black and percing gold eyes .

My cheek was presses against the nasty stone floor looking into graces cell.

She was huddled in the middle of her cell sobbing .

" Kara ? Kara your awake ." Grace said . A few tears were still escaping but a small smile was on her face .

I choked out " I am so sorry . "

They have me a confused look ,

" what are you sorry about ? " grace said curling her hands around the titanium cell bars .

" I was suppose to protect you ." I sobbed . I propped my my self up on my arms . I couldn't go back like this now . They couldn't go back like this now .

" who said you had to protect us ?" Grace whispered her green eyes looking at me .

" you guys are my pack ." I took a shaky breath " I am the alphas daughter , I protect my pack members . I didn't protect you guys . L-look at you . " I said looking at three of them .

Emily shank back in her cell at my words . All their eyes boring into mine

" do you see me ." I whispered getting to my feet " do you see yourselves?"

" yes !" Farley shouted making us all jump . Normally she was quite hardly even saying a word . Now she was shouting " I see us ! We may look different bit that doesn't change who we are ! Don't give up hope in our fathers ! The trackers ! Please don't give up hope . Please Kara . " she begged me

I turned from them looking onto the concrete wall three years of tally marks . Three years I dreamed of my escape .

" there is no hope ." I whispered . I grabbed the old blanket and started to scrub the chalk stained walls .

" Kara ! No !" Farley yelled behind me

" they abounded us . Your alpha doesn't care about you ! " I screamed and dropped to my knees sobbing .

My own father didn't want me . At least save the she wolves .

That night was the last night I let my self get like that. I had to lock everything up . All my emotions as thoughts .

They called out to me arms reachinging as I broke down in the middle of the cell . I knew the witch was hearing all of this .

I could feel her happiness from here .
