DAVID

Today is moving day and I'm still not so sure about this.

Ever since my mom told me and my sister that we're moving to Chicago, I haven't been in a good mood.

But she didn't have any choice and I've tried to be glad about it.

I walked out of the house with my keyboard as I head to the moving truck. I let out a sigh and place my keyboard along with my other stuff.

I look back at my house that was about to be empty. It made me wish that I had a say so.

Where we moving is Chicago and both my mom & sis said that it was nice.

I know they're just saying that to make me feel better but, it's not going to be like Compton. I had too many fun times here, especially with my closest friends.

"Aww, my nigga about to go!" Crawford, also known as Hi-C, fake wailed as he walked over to me and gave me a hug before I pushed him off.

"Nigga, you trippin." I laughed as he then joined with me.

We have been boys for the longest. He is also like a brother to me. Whenever we're together, we be having the most fun.

"But foreal, you're going to be missed so much. The parties aren't going to be the same without you. You hooking us up with the pretty girls." He sighed, shaking his head.

I snickered and nod my head. "Yeah, it's not going to be the same."

Me and Crawford went inside the house to help with the move. I know my mom was looking for me like, "Where's that David at?"

I didn't want to do them like that, even though they had other people from our neighborhood to help out.

Once the last of our stuff was in the back of the truck, I gave Crawford one last hug. We both hugged each other real tight. It was going to be my last time seeing him.

"Y'all be careful out there, Q. I love y'all forever." He told me. I nodded and told him the same.

As he walked off, I got in the passenger side of the vehicle. This was really coming true for me. I really hope that our new home is just like this one. It's a surprise that I have hope but there's nothing else for me to think.

I looked out of the window and saw my mom & sis exit from the house. My mom was on the way to the car as Nichelle locked the door.

I took out my walkman and put on my headphones as I begin to play my music. I got to listen to something good to lighten me up. I want to get myself out of this mood I've been feeling.

Also, it was going to be a long drive to our new place. Here's to Chicago.

LADONNA

After getting myself ready, I went outside to meet up with my friends. Lamont, who is my baby brother, woke me out of my rest to tell me that they're here.
