Soul Burning

Kayla was riding her bike in New York CIty. She did this every morning, since she HATED running.
Suddenly, Kayla felt this really strong, painful burning in her chest. She decided to not worry about it, it was probably just heart burn.
She rode back to her apartment, and parked her bike inside her garage. Kayla got into the elevator and pressed the 4th floor button.
As the elevator went up, the feeling in her chest got worse and worse.
When she opened her apartment, she felt something rising in her. She quickly closed the door.
She walked over to her bedroom, but it was too late.
She began to float in the air, surrounded by glowing purple stuff. Then, she fell to the ground, unconscious.
Kayla's neighbor, Tyler came to the door to drop off her mail. He did this everyday without fail. He knocked on the door and said, "Kayla, it's Tyler. I came to drop off your mail." He knocked again, ten waited a few more minutes, he noticed that her door had a crack in it. He opened the door cautiously, then stepped inside. He walked around saying, "Kay, this isn't breaking and netting I am just dropping off..." He then sees Kayla laying unconscious on the floor. Tyler throws the mail and pulls out his phone and calls 911. Soon the paramedics came and asked what happened as they loaded Kayla into the ambulance. "I was going to drop off her mail, I kept knocking at the door. She wasn't answering and her door was slightly open, so I walked inside, just to drop off her mail. Kayla always forgets. Anyway, I have been to her apartment a thousand times and her counter is right by the door, so I was going to leave it for her and write a note, and make sure I close the door. But then, I see Kayla collapsed on the floor." "Alright," says the EMT. She hops into the ambulance and they drive away.
At the hospital, Kayla has been unconscious for over an hour. Soon, Tyler goes to visit. Tyler walks into the emergency room and asks to she her. He walks through the ED until he sees Kayla laying on the bed. Soon, a doctor goes to check in her. "Hello, I'm Doctor Rhodes. I have been taking care of your girlfriend." "Oh no, I not her boyfriend. We are neighbors, and long time friends." "Ok, my mistake. Anyway, we do not know the cause of Kayla's unconsciousness. We are trying everything. Is your name Tyler Banks?" "Yes that is me. Why?" "Because you are listed as Kayla's emergency contact. Also, it seems Kayla doesn't have a file in our system. Can you answer a few questions?" "Yes, of course." "Great, follow me." Tyler and Dr. Rhodes walk to the computers. He asks Tyler all sorts of questions from parents to siblings to medical history, her last name. It seems like Dr. Rhodes asked him every question he possibly could. "Alright, final question, does she have a significant other? "No, not that I know of. She never really goes out or has anyone over. She's very shy." "Alright, thank you. I will let you know if anything changes." "Thank you." Tyler says as he walks out of the emergency room. Just a few minutes later, Kayla wakes up.
