Saturday
One day until the Apocalypse
----
Tomorrow is the day I go back to the military bases and lands.
I was packing up for my trip back loneliness and sorrow.
Being ordered by a very misogynistic man, knowing this life was chosen by my deceased father.
Well no specifically chosen by him, but for generations, my dad and his dad and many others joined the army.
There were always sons, but my dad wasn't lucky and had me, and I know he didn't directly tell me to join the army, I felt like it would make up for not being a man.
While thinking depressing thoughts I got a call, answering the phone with, "Hello?"
"Hey, Avalon it's me, Rose." I moved my phone to the space between my ear and shoulder and continued packing.
"I just wanted to say that, be safe out there." She said and continued saying, "The Larnex disease is spreading, and I know you going on an airplane ride tomorrow so I just wanted to warn you."
"Well thanks for reminding me," I said, "Is that all?" I said, wanting to get off the phone.
"Yeah, it is," she said.
"Well, I have to finish packing so I'll talk to you when I get off the pane tomorrow." She gave me a sound of understanding and hung up the phone.
I finished packing and put the bag near my door.
Tomorrow was going to be an interesting day I could tell.

Sunday
Day of Apocalypse
-
Standing in the airport waiting for my boarding ticket to be checked I looked around.
I loved the airport, just the gift shops and breakfast and launching areas with great food.
The new people I see looking for gates waiting in boarding lines, people with different stories and reasons for being here, whether they are coming from our coming to, or visiting families or friends or even lovers.
Just the whole airport is full of excitement and emotions, I guess it's just my imagination making the airport a magical place.
But I think it is one.
It was finally my turn to show my boarding pass and then I was finally walking down the aisle to the airplane.
I got in my seat 3A window seat. That was lucky.
"Plane will be flying about 10 minutes! We are having some difficulties connecting to the Pilot, but please put your phone on Airplane mode to speed up our process!" The flight attendant said.
It didn't bother me, I was in absolutely no rush for this ride.
I heard screams from the front of the plane, that's when I started to worry.
