Chapter Five

         Just the fight I was looking for....

       It seemed like it hasn't spotted me yet. I put my kidney away in my pocket and I felt that I had accidentally stolen the young girl's knife. 'I guess that's what she gets when she steals my food.' I thought to myself. I snuck closer to the Corruption and took a good look around so I know my surroundings. It seemed like it was starving like all it's food disappeared. 'I hate to say it but I know how you feel you hell spawn.'
 
   Creeping closer, I got ready to make my move. Right when I was getting ready to pounce on it, it spotted me and lunges at me. I stumble back a bit then I soon dodge it. I rushed the hideous creature and try to get cut on it but it opened it's hungry jaws ready to eat me. Luckily I was able to move out of the way, but unfortunately I slammed into an abandoned ambulance and cut my hand with the knife. I landed on the ground but quickly got back to my feet just in time as the corruption was rushing towards me. I tried to move away but it managed to grab me. I swung the knife in defense as it tried to eat me. My own blood made the knife difficult to hold on to and as a result I ended up dropping it. 'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!' I thought. "There's no fucking way I die to you fugly bastard!" I shouted at it while trying to struggle away.

     It tries to bite me but there was a sudden gunshot and I got dropped to the ground. The Corruption drops to the ground and slowly starts decaying. I look around and spotted Sully with his gun producing smoke from it's chamber. "Hey! Fucktard! You good?" He says while holstering his weapon. "I had it under control, you asshat.." I said while walking over. Sully only rolled his eyes and we walked back into the hospital. Fixing my hand was a struggle because it was my dominant hand I was trying to wrap up. "If you want I can help you with that." Sully said to me  "I don't need help..." I said as I continue d to struggle. Sully stopped me and wrapped it for me. "thanks..." I said to him. I wasn't too happy because of hunger and how the girl kicked us out because of what happened before the walkers.. plus he was touching me...

    "You gotta control those anger issues dude..." Sully said. "what makes you think I have fucking anger issues?? You're one to fucking talk!" I said while glaring at him. Sully looked at like like I was joking. "Dude... You slaughtered an entire group of zombies and you shouted at Kate while we were trying to get to that girl's house..." He said to me. "at least they aren't as bad as Jeff's.." I said while chuckling at the memory of Ben and Jeff getting in a fight over a fictional character. Sully finished up and rolled his eyes. "You keep that up and they're going to get stuck in the back of your head like that.." I told him. "you know that from experience, Jacky boy?" He said while laughing.

     I growl at him and he puts his hands up. "Chill bro. Let's go find the girls and get some food. You can still have small amounts of human food right?" He asked. I nodded and calmed down a bit. I guess all of my anger was coming from my stomach. All of the organs in the cooler would've satisfy my hunger completely but nope. Some girl had to send us away with out it.. 

    We started to walk through the hospital halls looking for the girls and getting a better sense of the hospital so we wouldn't get lost. Well, I wouldn't get lost but the others would. We ended up finding them in the food court and they were eating some canned green beans with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. There were two other plates with sandwiches and beans which caught our attention. "Woah. You guys made us sandwiches?" Sully said while sitting down and eating.

      I sat in the other chair across from Kate and by Sully and just awkwardly poked the beans with my finger. "we thought you boys might be hungry after patrolling the outside of the hospital to make sure it's safe." Carly said while taking another bite of her sandwich. "thanks.." I said while picking up part of the sandwich and taking small bites of it. It's not hunger satisfying but enough of it will work. Just as long as I don't eat too much.....   "What happened to your hand, Jack?" Kate asked me while pointing out the bandage. "It's Jackson and I stupidly lunged into an ambulance and cut my hand on the knife while fighting a hell spawn..." I said casually but a little harshly. Sully's right, I need to get my anger into check..

       I started to eat the beans while my mind started to think of the fight I had with the corruption. It seemed like it was staring at something while I was creeping up on it. What on earth would it be staring at..? It can't think for itself, so why was it staring at the ground...? I started to get lost in thought when Sully put his arm around me and shook me. "ain't that right, Jack." Sully asked me. "huh??" I said which cause a soft giggle from Kate. "Carly here asked how we met. I told her that I thought your room was mine because it's next to Liu's." He said to me. "I'm still mad that I caught you jerking off in my bed to 'Busty Asian Beauties' on my fucking work computer and don't fucking touch me.." I said to him while making him take his arm off me. "Dude! That was supposed to stay between us!" He shouted at me while his face turned beat red. "Oops It just slipped..." I said sarcastically.

     "Fuck you man.." Sully said and I just shrugged it off and finished eating. "is it not good..?" Kate asked me. "oh, um, it's good. I just can't eat a lot of it.. it's not my normal diet..." I said to her. "oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. I completely forgot that you eat... Um." She tried to say. What's with people and them trying to say what I eat. "Organs?" I said to her. "yeah. Uh. That..." She said while looking down. "it's fine. I'll eventually find some organs for me to eat. Excuse me for now. I'm going to go outside for a moment." I said while getting up. I leave the food court and after a few minutes I soon heard footsteps behind me. I stopped and smelled the air a bit. "Dr Carly. We really have to stop meeting up like this.." I said while turning around to see her. "Enough Jack. Come with me..." She said to me while walking in front of me. I roll my non existent eyes and follow her. She led me to a psych room and there were restraints and a chair in it.

    "What are you doing..?" I asked her. "restrain me to the chair, Jack..." She said to me while sitting down. I was shocked by hee telling me to do this that I even backed up a bit. "Woah, I'm not-" I started but Carly cut me off. "Tie me to the damn chair."  I gave in and did restrain her to the chair. She looked helpless and I kinda smiled at that thought. Since I didn't have my mask to hide my face, she saw my twisted, toothy smile. "I can help y-you deal with that tramua. All y-you have to do is talk about i-it.." she said to me with fear in her voice. I grinned and sat against the wall with my feet flat on the floor. "Which you wanna hear first....?" I said while my stomach growled. I wanted to eat her so damn badly. That's all she is to me. She's just my food source... "P-Past.." she said shakily.

        "alright. Parents died when I was around 5 or 6 and I was taken in by my now boss.. he kept my hunger satisfied and let me have a roof over my head.. all I have to do is some damn assignment, kill this person, save this person, save humanity here and there sometimes..." I said while approaching her. "I've also been held hostage and tested on by some old man in Idaho for months.... The amount of times he starved me and teased me by holding a kidney Infront of this trapped wendigo.. the just recently I was in a science lab being tested on and starved by the girl the food court for God knows how long..." I said to her while growling a bit. "you know what... I'm done with you. Bye bye doctor..." I said while raising my hand to slash her open like a raw piece of meat.  "Wait, Jack stop." She said while trying to get the restaurant off.

      Why should I wait...... She has no value to me..... She means nothing to me.... I would've eaten her in the basement of that house... I would've eaten her in that convenient store... I would've eaten her in that girl's yard..... Why should I wait to eat her now...... She is just a human....

...Humans are full of organs that I can eat...
