When someone has a promise to fulfill, they must do it wholeheartedly. And if someone has a goal they would like to accomplish, then they must do almost anything to make sure their dreams will come true. If they stop in the middle of the path they chose to walk at, what was the point of hoping in the first place?
Humans. They sometimes give up on life too easily. They could have thought of a reason to stay and realize that there was actually something beautiful about it ( except for the fact that the journey is hell ) but they, instead, chose to give up.
Although some stay strong until the end in spite of their flaws, and mistakes, some received wicked punishments for that was the only consequence the gods could have given them. Come to think of it, they were right. What other way could the archons have possibly punished them?
A flower burst wide open, and where there had been only a small, white snowflake, a small pearl appeared. A woman, who was holding it with her right hand, gently lifted the small, glowing, round bead and carefully placed it in her eye, wincing when her wearied e/c eye made contact with it.
" There," she sighed in relief and snapped her fingers, the flower and its petals shattering into blue ashes completely.
She looked certainly less than the age of twenty-three however, she was far older than that. She was a hundred more times older ( or even more ) than twenty-three but even the female did not know her own exact age. Maybe two hundred fifty years old? Actually, a thousand years old is also another possibility.
' What is so good about the stars, I wonder,' she asked herself, staring at the small stars that were smiling at her. Still, no matter how long she gazed at them, she still could not find the answer to her question.
The h/c haired female took a deep breath and took a step back, relaxing her shoulders when the cold breeze tickled her skin.
" Where are you?" she whispered and looked at the stars, from west to east, south to north, and that was when she heard a small bell coming from behind her. She stiffened her back.
" I'm here, I've been here all along."
She turned her back, flabbergasted, drawing out her sword upon hearing the sudden noise but to her surprise, there was no one. She let out a small surprised gasp after learning that nobody was there.
At first, she refused to believe that nothing was there and continued to point her sword where she could've sworn she heard a voice however, a little while after, she softened her eyes and loosened her grip on the katana, then placing it back to where it was before, sighing hopelessly.
" There you again, hallucinating," she squeezed the tip of her nose and clenched on her sheath, sucking the air in pure disappointment. " What is wrong with you, y/n?"
y/n looked up at the night sky. Although the stars continued to beam brightly right at her, she couldn't care less. Starting to doubt that she would be able to find the answer she had asked herself a few minutes before, she could only kick a small pebble and watch it fall off a waterfall.
She took a few steps to the very edge of the cliff she was in and looked down, trying to find the small rock she had sent flying away. y/n then took a few steps back and clicked her tongue.
" Perhaps I could find a group of treasure hoarders," she scoffed and rolled her eyes playfully, tightening her navy blue obi that was around her waist, " Or even beat up some Geovishaps ..." she tied her hair and narrowed her e/c eyes, running towards the waterfall. " Actually, I might as well, by accident, encounter the chosen one."
