Scarlett POV

As I passed the black and white checkered flag I felt a rush of relief go through me, knowing I had come home in second at my favourite race

"Congrats mate, that's P2, P2" My engineer Lucio said over the radio

"YES!" I cheered 

"Brilliant job today." He said "Max ahead in P1 and Lando behind in P3" I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips as I thought of Lando achieving yet another podium this season

"Scarlett!" Christian's voice chimed in "Fantastic job, P1 and P2 finish for the team. Well done, kid,"

"Thank you," I laughed and entered the parc fermé, stopping my car behind the P2 sign and Max was on my right. I pushed the protective barrier out of my car before taking out my wheel and pulling myself up by the halo

Me and Max shared a look and we both sat on the edge of our halos, cheering at our team. I hopped off my car and took off my helmet and balaclava before heading to Christian who was waiting on the side of the barrier

"Well done," He laughed and pulled me into a hug

"Thanks," I panted "Shit I'm tired,"

"Not surprised," He chuckled and patted me on the shoulder before I headed to the stands set out for us to gulp down the cold water placed there, to try cool myself down

Max then walked over after hugging Kelly and the two of us also shared a tight hug and Lando walked over too

Max looked between us and turned his attention to taking off his helmet, obviously trying to give us time to talk and I rolled my eyes

"Well done," Lando said and I smiled

"Thanks, you too," I replied

"I would try hug you but that didn't go well last time," He joked, obviously trying to be funny and I laughed but it didn't reach my eyes

"Can we talk after this weekend?" I asked "Not today but away from the other drivers and all, please I just need to talk to you,"

"Ok," He nodded "What about Wednesday? All the others will have flown out by then"

We locked eyes and I knew immediately why he chose Wednesday. That would have been the day of our three year anniversary

"Sure" I nodded and he was pulled away for his interview so I turned back to Max who had a smug look on his face "Shut up"
