Harry walked into the great hall for breakfast, having slept in for longer than usual this morning, which was not completely on purpose. Harry sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, trying to tame it a bit, for what seemed like the thousandths time that morning. His hair was being particularly stubborn today, and he was fully aware that it looked more messy than it normally did.

Harry sat down next to Ron who looked to be in a discussion with Seamus who was sitting on Ron's other side. Harry silently put some breakfast foods on his plate, trying to not attract any attention, he had slept very shitty and just couldn't be bothered to talk today.

Harry started silently eating, letting his eyes drift off over Hermione's shoulder and towards the Slytherin table. Harry immediately noticed Malfoy's absence, which was weird because Stark was already sitting at the table with the rest of their friends. Harry narrowed his eyes, this was definitely suspicious, especially because the rest of the friend group seemed to also be missing Malfoy's presence,  judging by the looks on the the Slytherins faces they also didn't seem to know where Malfoy was.

Harry looked at Stark, trying to see if he could read any clue off of his face, about what was going on. Ofcourse harry got nothing because Stark was a mysterious little fucker who was absolutely unreadable to the outside world. Damn purebloods and their bloody masks.. Harry was sure every pureblood witch and Wizard had been taught how to create and put on a mask as soon as they came out of the womb. Which now that Harry thought about it definitely seemed like an unhealthy thing to do...

The serpents seemed to be in a conversation, all talking to each other with frowned eyebrows and questioning glances at one another. Something wasnt right..

"How did you sleep harry?" Hermione voice spoke, but harry didn't stop staring at the Slytherins, there had to be some kind of clue, Malfoy had been acting weird since the start of the year, maybe now he'll finally get a step closer to knowing whats been going on with the blonde.

"Yeah, great." Harry said absentmindedly, eyes still on dark haired Slytherin. Maybe Malfoy and Stark had a fight? Or maybe Malfoy is really up to something and Stark isn't supporting whatever actions Malfoy's planning on doing. Yes, that had to be it.

"Harry stop staring at the Slytherins, and talk to us." Harry finally teared his eyes away from Stark, at Hermione words. He finally turned his eyes to her, sighing when Hermione looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Sorry, had another nightmare." Harry told her, answering her question without further context as if that would explain everything. Hermione just gave hi a sympathetic nod in return, not asking any questions, which Harry was great full for. He held back a sigh when he saw Ron turn to look at him out of the corner of his eye.

"I didnt hear you last night." Ron told him. "If i did i wouldve kept you company, mate." Harry smiled at his friend, feeling incredibly lucky to have them.

"Ive been using silencing charms." Harry admitted.

"You can wake me up anytime you need to, mate. You know that." Ron offered, harry smiled and nodded at him, patting Ron's shoulder in a friendly matter.

"Oh! MJ! Ned!" Hermione called out, when she noticed the Ravenclaw and hufflepuff walk in together. Signaling them to come over. The two of them quickly made their way to the Gryffindor table, Ned and MJ sitting down on either side of hermione and opposite of harry and Ron.

"I wanted to discus some things before our next prefect meeting this afternoon-" Hermione started but was cut off by Ron loudly chocking on his food.

"Merlin, Ron!" Harry exclaimed, patting his friends back, laughing as his best friend gulped down his orange juice. Harry's smile quickly disappeared from his face once he followed Ron's gaze.
