My eyes were blinded by the warm sunlight, shining through my window. I turned away from the sunlight and glanced at my black alarm clock.

6:00 a.m.

Perfect

I pushed my white comforter off me and slid my Elmo slippers on.

I know, Childish

But do I care?

No

It was the first day of school after winter break.
I was a little nervous, but happy nonetheless.
Unlike most I sort of like school.
It gives me something to be occupied on.

After I showered and changed. I quickly grabbed a red folder from my messy desk and took out two pieces of paper that had things written all over them. I carefully wrote Annabelle on the corners of the pages. To make it look like it was her all along.

I put the papers back in the folder and put the folder inside my black backpack.
I looked at myself in the mirror once more.
I was wearing a green button up shirt tucked into black pants.
I put my backpack over my shoulder and walked out my room.
I walked down the short hallway and started going down the stairs.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
So I took it out and looked at the messages.

Sophia⛰
I'm at your door with Finn
Sophia ⛰
Hurry up, he's getting annoying

Jaeden😐
I'm walking down the stairs

I said goodbye to my mom and dad.
I Hurried out my house, I opened the door.
And there stood my best friends
Sophia and Finn.
Sophia was wearing a shirt from some band tucked in her grey sweatpants. She always managed to look good even in the most casual outfits.
Finn was wearing a baby blue hoodie and gray sweatpants.
I'm basically the only teen at school who doesn't wear sweatpants all the time.

"Hey dumbass"
Sophia smiled and gave me a hug

Sophia had been my best friend since we were 7 when she accidentally pushed a 12 year old boy off a cliff and I was a witness.
Thankfully the boy didn't die, but he got badly injured.

I returned the hug, after we pulled away Finn smiled at me.

"Missed me?"

I hadn't seen both of them in three weeks because they both went to different places to celebrate the holidays.

"No, I actually didn't"
I joked

He gave me a quick hug

Sophia and I met Finn cause his brother happens to be the person Sophia accidentally pushed off the cliff.

"So how was your winter break?"
Sophia said while we started waking down the sidewalk

"Fine, I spent most of my time doing ann-"

"Annabelle's homework"
They both said with a annoyed tone

"Yeah"
I awkwardly nodded

Annabelle is a girl I really like. I started doing her homework some time ago. But Sophia and Finn think it's stupid. But I don't.
I've liked Annabelle for the longest time and This is the closest I've gotten to her. So I'm not giving this up.
