Omegas were far from usual nowadays. Their existence had once been commonplace, a natural part of the pack dynamic, but after the horrific event known as the "Feral War," that had all changed. It was a time that haunted the memories of every wolf across the land. The most gruesome and brutal pack war ever known to history had unfolded, leaving a deep scar across the hearts of those who had lived through it. The cause of this devastation was rooted in vengeance, as an old and once-proud pack went feral after their beloved alpha was murdered in the most brutal way imaginable.

Driven by their thirst for revenge, this feral pack hunted down omegas with terrifying precision. They were not just targeting any wolves, but the ones who were the most vulnerable. Omegas, once cherished and protected, became the first and most brutal casualties of this war. They were tortured, mutilated, and killed in ways that made even the strongest warriors tremble. This was the pack's way of showing that they had no more mercy or compassion, that their only goal now was destruction—an eye for an eye, and they would not stop until their vengeance was complete.

But not all wolves had lost their humanity. When the war escalated, the remaining packs, seeing the bloodshed and brutality, formed an alliance to protect the few omegas that remained. They fought fiercely, pushing back against the feral pack with everything they had. In the end, the feral pack was nearly wiped out, their once-powerful numbers shattered. Some of them were captured, others rehabilitated, and a few were left to run, never to return to pack lands again. But the damage had already been done. Omegas, once plentiful, had become a rarity—almost mythical in their existence.

The aftermath of the war left the omega population decimated. Now, there were only twelve omegas across all the packs, and most were over the age of thirty. This tragic decline was due to the dominance of alpha genes, which made the birth of omegas incredibly rare. In fact, over the last fifty years, only five omegas had been born, a number that served as a constant reminder of the devastation. Lycan pack, also known as Conall's pack, had the honor of harboring one of the last surviving omegas—an elder who had lived through the war and found peace with her mate outside the city, far from the horrors of her past.

After the war, the perspective of omegas had shifted drastically. They were no longer seen as lesser members of the pack but as precious beings, as rare as diamonds. Packs now treated omegas with the utmost reverence, like royalty. Every wolf aspired to protect them, to love them, and to cherish them. To be in the presence of one of these fragile and precious wolves was considered a blessing. For Conall and Grace, to discover the presence of such an omega—so young, so vulnerable—was nothing short of mind-blowing.

The room fell into a heavy silence as they both processed what had just been revealed. Conall stood there, staring at the pup in Grace's arms, his mind racing. This was a moment neither of them had ever anticipated. A pup, an omega, the last of their kind—a living, breathing reminder of all they had fought for. It was almost too much to comprehend.

Finally, Conall broke the silence. He stood from his seat beside the bed, his strong frame moving toward Grace. He reached out to gently take the pup from her arms, but Grace, ever protective, tightened her hold on the tiny wolf, a growl escaping her throat.

"Honey, give him to me," Conall's voice was soft but firm, tinged with the authority of an alpha. He didn't want to raise his voice, not in front of the pup. His tone was measured, not demanding, but there was a subtle insistence behind it.

Grace hesitated for a moment, a soft whine slipping from her lips, but she finally relented. She handed the small, fragile pup over to her husband with a deep sigh, the protective instincts in her eyes not fading despite her submission. She loved the pup already, in a way that felt natural, as if she had known him her entire life.
