The air in the hall buzzed with an unusual energy as the crowd settled in. Rows of chairs were filled with members of the pack, all murmuring to each other, waiting for the moment when their Alfa would step forward. The space was vast, a large arena-like room, but it still only housed a fraction of the pack—less than ten percent of the total membership. The remaining members, spread across distant cities and territories, watched from their homes, the live feed streaming directly into their living rooms, offices, and dens.
Conall stood backstage, his broad frame silhouetted in the dim light, his expression unreadable. He had done press conferences before, but this was different. This wasn't just about territory disputes or pack politics. This was about something far more personal. This was about Eli, the little omega they had found—fragile and new to their world, and now, to be shared with an entire pack. A pack that would undoubtedly have its questions, its opinions, its reactions. It was important, but it was daunting.
Will stood beside him, his expression a mixture of pride and concern. He knew how heavy this was for Conall; he knew how deeply the alpha cared for the little omega. And now, they had to share that with the pack. Not just share, but explain what it meant. The weight of responsibility hung over Conall like a storm cloud, but he wasn't about to shrink from it. He couldn't.
"Ready?" Will asked softly, his hand resting on Conall's arm.
Conall nodded, a slow, deliberate motion. "Let's do this."
The lights above the stage flickered briefly, and then the room settled into silence. A large screen at the front flashed to life, broadcasting the feed for the live audience at home, while a single camera focused on the alpha as he made his way to the podium.
Conall stood tall, his posture commanding but calm, his gaze sweeping across the sea of faces before him. The murmurs of the crowd began to fade, and the space quieted down to an expectant hush. This was the moment. Conall exhaled slowly, his mind gathering itself before he began to speak.
"Pack," he began, his voice deep and steady, but there was an undeniable warmth beneath the surface. "Today, I stand before you not just as your Alfa, but as someone who has been given the privilege of guiding us all through a new chapter. A chapter that brings us something—someone—so rare, so precious, that it is something we must protect with everything we are."
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle before continuing. "As many of you know, we've recently discovered an little rouge Pup. His name is Eli."
The crowd was silent, the name hanging in the air as they processed it. A few members exchanged glances, some nodding in recognition, others in confusion, but all of them listening intently.
"well as it turns out, Eli happens to be an omega" He said making murmurs and loud chatter rip though the silence and growls and whimpers all flowing though the air.
"Eli is five years old," Conall continued, his voice softening slightly. "He has been through unimaginable hardship, but I can assure you, he is strong. He is not like others pup's, not only because he is an omega, but because of the trauma he has faced—trauma we are now committed to undoing. We will ensure that he grows in a safe and loving environment, surrounded by those who care for him."
Conall's gaze softened as he looked toward the cameras, as if to reassure Eli, who was watching from the safety of the backroom, nestled with Grace and Santiago. "Eli will be living with the betas, for now. Santiago and Will have agreed to open their homes and hearts to him, and I trust them to give him the stability he needs."
A soft murmur rippled through the crowd, but Conall raised his hand, signaling for silence. The gravity of his next words hung between them all.
"This is not just about one boy. This is about our future. Eli is a rare gift, a symbol of our strength, our resilience, and our commitment to the future of our pack. The presence of an omega in our community is a sign of change, of evolution, and we will take that responsibility seriously."
