*Beep! Boop!* (Location: Someity Miyamoto's Room)
It's 10:55 pm. Miraitowa and Someity were playing a tough round of Mario Kart. Unsurprisingly, Miraitowa was winning. There were energy drinks, manga and snacks everywhere. Blankets were spread across the room. You could hear Someity scream from the other side of the neighborhood. Someity snapped as Miraitowa crossed the finish line.
"GAAAAH! WHY DOES THIS GAME HATE ME!" She tossed her controller onto the ground. Surprisingly, it didn't break. She huffed and crossed her arms.
"Some, it's not that the game hates you. You just need to practice." Miraitowa patted her on the back. While it did make Someity feel better, it didn't take her mind off of something she was thinking about.
"Hey, Mira." She turned towards her brother. "Yeah?"
"Remember when we first moved here back in 2018?" Her angry frown turned into a giggle.
"Yeah, I remember! You were struggling to fit your anime shrine through the door!" He pointed to a shrine neatly placed in the corner of the room. It was bright pink, covered in stickers and doodles by Someity herself. Inside were pieces of anime merch and pictures of her many, many, MANY anime crushes. "Don't remind me of that, I almost broke that thing!" Someity playfully pushed Miraitowa.
They spent the rest of the night reminiscing about that fateful day...
*February 22, 2018*
It was a normal day in the neighborhood. Huanhuan was causing arson, Tom was poisoning his enemies, and all was good.
All until somebody heard a scream.
Huanhuan immediately snapped out of his arsonist duties. "What the hell? That sounded like Parabbit!" He ran towards where the scream came from, which was somewhere near the house that was being saved for the Tokyo 2020 Mascots. That is, if they ever found them.
"What happened, Parabbit? Everything ok?" Everyone was comforting her as she stood there, terrified. "Calm down, everybody." A pink and orange haired owl girl in a shrine maiden dress walked towards the group, motioning them to calm down. "Now, tell me, Parabbit. What did you see?"
"Sukki! Thank God you're here. I found two kids dead in front of the yard!" Sukki turned towards the yard and saw two kids, possibly unconscious, laying on the yard. One had blue and white hair, and the other had white hair with pink highlights. "Damn, that IS scary. I'll go check on them." Sukki walked towards them, and poked them in the cheek. "Hello? Y-you alright?" Parabbit slowly walked towards the two, as they slowly came to. "Never mind, they're alive now!" Sukki walked away, possibly for safety reasons.
"わぁ...痛い..." (Oww... that hurt..") The blue one said, clearly in pain. Parabbit thought to herself, Thank God I know Japanese.
"大丈夫ですか?" (Are you ok?) Parabbit said in a concerned tone. "ほら? そんなことをしてはいけないと言った." (See? I told you we should have never done that.) The pink one scolded the blue one, prompting a response. "それは唯一の方法出ていました! そのポータルを開かなかったら、私たちは決して去ることはなかっただろう!" (It was the only way out! If we didn't open that portal, we would have never left!) They fought for a minute, leaving Parabbit confused. "ちょっと待って! ポータル、何を意味するのですか? あなたは私を混乱させています!" (Wait a minute! What do you mean by a portal? You're confusing me!) The pink one panicked. "I-それはあなたのビジネスのどれも!" (I-It's none of your business!) Parabbit sighed. "ルック、あなたが英語を話すのですか?" (Look, do you speak english?) The blue one stood up. "Of course we do! You should have just asked!"
Everyone sighed of relief. "Thank God. Now, what are your names?" Parabbit helped them up. "N-names? We don't really have names.. All we can really think of for names are the words Mirai and Sakura." Parabbit thought to herself. "Then how about we call you Miraitowa and Someity?" They tilted their heads. "What? Those aren't even real names!" "Well, Mirai in Japanese means "future", and Towa means "eternity"! And as for Someity, your name comes from the "Someiyoshino" cherry blossom. It also sounds like "so mighty", but that's probably just a coincidence." Parabbit eagerly said. Miraitowa and Someity nodded, accepting their new names.
"So.. what brings you here? Need a place to stay?" Miraitowa and Someity were sweating bullets. "Well... lets just say we needed to desperately leave some place." Parabbit tilted her head. "Huh... how 'bout we get you guys settled in and then we talk about it?" They nodded, looking at the house in front of them. Who knew that the house they entered this world in would be their future home?
*Present-day*
"What a day, huh?" Someity flopped onto the bed. Miraitowa smiled.
"Hey, Someity, remember the promise we made together that day?" Someity nodded. "Of course I do." Miraitowa thought back to the promise.
"Sis?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't tell Dad we did this."
Miraitowa smiled, happy that this promise had been kept. He layed on the bed with his sister, looking up at the ceiling, decorated with stars.
