"Its fine. Hey you still wanna go watch that movie." I said hopeful that she would say yes.
"Actually I think that might have to wait. I have to figure out where I am going to be sleeping for the next 3 months. Since. You know." She said pointing to her phone.
"Yeah. I mean you can crash here if you need a place to stay." I said being hopeful again.
"You know what. I think I just might take you up on that." She said with a giggle.
"Okay. You can take my bed and I'll take the couch."
"No Jack you don't have to do that!" She said walking up to me. "I mean I can sleep on the couch. But if you insist that I sleep in a bed, then I don't mind sharing. I mean its not like i'm sleeping next to a stranger."
I just nodded trying to hide the smile that was starting to form on my face.
"Okay well i'm gonna go shower and get ready for bed." She said picking her phone up off the couch.
"But um all my stuff is at my ex's house, so do you have anything that I could wear?"
I couldn't help it, I started smiling.
"Yeah I might have something for you!"
After Alexis got out of the shower, she put on a pair of Nicole's pajama shorts that she left here and one of my shirts.
She looks good in my shirt.
But then again she looked beautiful in everything that she wears.
"Do you prefer the right side? Or the left?" She asked me.
"I dont really care" I said with a chuckle.
"Well I actually prefer the right side of the bed. I know i'm sorry. I'm a really picky person. "
"Nah its fine." I said.
She crawled into bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
I just laid there for a while thinking.
I think I like her. I mean she probably doesn't like me. Plus she just broke up with her boyfriend. But she wouldn't have done that if she didn't like him anymore. I'll just give her time and then eventually ask her on a date.
When I woke up Alexis was laying on my chest and I had my arm around her.
I guess we did this in our sleep because I did not fall asleep like this.
I felt her move a little and then she picked up her head and looked at me.
"Well good morning." I said. She groaned and laid her head back down on my chest.
"What time is it?" she asked in her morning voice. I reached over and grabbed my phone.
"Its about 10:30" I said placing my phone back down on the night stand.
"EW! I guess I have to get up at some point though." She said getting up and walking to the bathroom.
I got up and walked into the kitchen and started pouring me a bowl of cereal when Johnson walked in.
"Hey bro. Where were you last night?" I asked taking a bite out of my cereal.
"I went out with Nash, Cam and Matt." He said walking to his room.
A couple minutes later Alexis walked out wearing my shirt and her jeans from yesterday.
"Hey. I'm gonna run over to Josh, my ex's house and grab my stuff. And then when I get back we can go watch that movie" She said with a wink.
Then she grabbed her car keys and walked out the door.
God I like her.
"Who just left?" Johnson asked walking back into the kitchen
"It was Alexis. Remember from high school?" I said putting my bowl in the sink.
"Alexis MCculler?! " He said looking surprised. "Yeah." I said giving him a questioning look.
"DUDE YOU HOOKED UP WITH ALEXIS MCCULLER?! WHAT ABOUT MADISON?" I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"No man. We didn't hook up. She just stayed over because her and Josh broke up and she needed a place to stay. So I told her that she could crash here until she found some place else."
"What about Madison?" He asked looking a little worried.
"Were done. I told her yesterday that I didn't want to wait for her anymore. I had to move on. PLUS she kissed Daniel. Skye." I said grabbing me a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"Classic Madison."
