Aunia sighed and walked along the forest line and the side of the sidewalk, hoping not to attract any attention. Unfortunately, she was the peak of attraction, as it's not everyday high school teenagers see a woman emerge from a forest. There weren't any sexual tensions or thoughts, but just the fact someone came out of the forest, instead of using the sidewalk or driving on the road. Some called to her as she walked away and some went in. It was kind of embarrassing for them to see her, but she managed to ignore them.

"Hey!" yelled Milo. "Aunia, over here!"

Aunia ignored and kept walking.

"You know her?" one of the kids asked.

"Kinda, I hit her with my car, ON ACCIDENT, this morning, but she seemed to be fine. Now that I think about it, I have no clue how she didn't get hurt. Just walked right into the road... But it doesn't matter now. HEY, AUNIA!"

Milo got up and ran to the road's side, trying to greet her, but she just kept walking away. Milo then ran across the road, grabbed the sleeve of Aunia, and tried pulling her to her friends. The two only got to the other side of the road, before Aunia yanked her arm back to free herself. She glared at Milo, then walked away faster. Milo scoffed and shook her head.

"Can I at least greet you to my friends? I gave you a ride!"

"No, you almost hurt me," Aunia shot back.

"That was an accident..."

"Leave. Me. Alone. I've had a rough day and I just want to get back."

"How long does it take you to get back?! It's been hours!"

Aunia looked at the annoying fox-human, over her shoulder, then looked in front of her, sighing and clenching her fists. The atmosphere was replaced with intensity, instead of the original playfulness. It burned with rage and hurt, on the verge of boiling over like a smoking volcano.

"Walking? Possibly never," Aunia responded, shaking her head. "I need to find an alternative that you wouldn't und- Actually, why am I telling you?"

"We've never seen a mythical hybrid though! You see, we have humans, elves, dogs, and foxes here!"

Aunia's rage at the persistent girl exploded and she turned around, pushing her with one hand, while the other held the book close. And again. It was as if a nerve snapped like a thin chandelier string, tumbling down and shattering all over the floor.

"ENOUGH!" Aunia bellowed. "You act like a child, never stopping!"

"Well, I am a child!"

"Stop acting so pathetic, none of this is about you!"

Milo launched towards her with extreme speed, arm bent back, fist ready, but the dragon dodged to the left and with a swift arm down, caught the fox's arm. Aunia swung her away, but she caught the ground and leapt back over. She outstretched her arm and aimed for her stomach, but the other girl caught the fist with her free hand and spun her in the air. Milo pulled Aunia, shifting both of their weights, stepped foot on the ground, before she bent her whole body and delivered a sharp kick to Aunia's arm. Aunia let go and stumbled to the side, reeling from the blow, before emanating a blue glow from head-to-toe. Her eyes changed from her normal dark violet to pure black. Purple scales stabbed through her cheeks, then laid themselves down.

Milo sprung up from her roll and felt the atmosphere burning her skin, as well as sweat trickling down her cheeks. The other students that were eating outside surrounded them, cheering and rooting for one or the other. Milo threw her fist, not out of anger now, but out of fear. Aunia pushed the fist away from her face and Milo fell, but stuck her arms out and pushed her legs up, nearly catching Aunia in her face. While she was still in the air, Aunia delivered a swift foot to her stomach, causing her to collapse. Milo sprawled on the ground, clutching her stomach and on the verge of tears, as Aunia towered over her. She scoffed at Milo's crumpled body and began to walk away as the voices around them roared in cheers. Some voices yelled, "Milo, get up! Milo!"
