I set up a tent in the forest on my way to the Temple, "Keysloww!" i heard as i woke up, "Who..said that?"i said as i looked around warily, The campfire was burning bright, crickets chirped. The Darkness Gem glowed dimly, A projection of a Black shade appeared in front of the gem, "Keysloww,I am the Entity of your Gem, Go to the Temple..before it's too late." It said, I jumped out of my tent "What do you mean?", the entity was gone, and the gem lied on the ground, completely normal. I picked up the gem,stored it into my cloak and proceeded to put out the fire, i packed my things and continued my trip, Along the dark road, I heard noises, I looked over at the bushes I heard the noise from, and slowly walked towards it, I leaped onto the bushes, then suddenly I heard a yell "Ow! Keysloww! Quit!" the voice said, "Wait who-" i said, the person suddenly jumped onto me hugging me, it was then i realized who it was, "Midnight!? What are you doing all the way out here?" i said, She pouted, "you know..midnight isnt my real name.." she said, I had a confused look on my face, "It's Emily, did no one ever tell you?." she said, "anyways what are you doing all the way out here? You know there's wanted and missing posters at the castle for you right?" she said, i looked down, "Yeah.. i know.. I need to find my sister though.." i said, Midnight looked at me "Keysloww, let me help you.." She said, "Mid-err..Emily..It's too dangerous for you.." i said, "No!" she shouted, "This entire time, i've felt helpless, like i'm not any help to anyone, like i'm more of a burden.." she said, tears ran down her face, "Emily. You are not a burden, I assure you, If you really want to help, you can. But all i have to ask of you, is to never let your guard down. This trip is dangerous.." i said, "Now come on, we're heading to the temple.."i said as i Held out my hand and Emily took it we began to make our way to the temple, On our way to the temple, we passed a village, While we were in that town, we met with the village elder, and was asked if we wanted combat lessons to prepare us for the task ahead, we accepted. I trained in the Art of Advanced Spearmanship, and Emily was taught multiple forms of magic, healing, assault, and defense magic, as well as taught the art of swordsmanship, and months later we both were prepared to leave for the temple.
When the both of us arrived at the temple, we were overwhelmed with dark energy, "W-whats this.." i said as my vision began to haze, A Voice could be heard, "B-brother..." A voice said, "Alex..Stay still, I'm coming up to get you." i said as i looked up the stairs of the temple, "A-Alex!?" I said as I attempted to run towards the stairs, "K-Keysloww...I don't feel so well." Emily said, I looked behind me, "No...Emily..don't move.." i said as i was filled with horror noticing the look on Alex's face it seemed she was just as frightened as i was. "Alex run now. Find some place to hide and i'll come to get you." I said to my sister. Just as she took a step back. Someone appeared behind her. Placing their hand on her mouth and Faded into the wind. "NO!" i shouted.,"Damn it!" i said as I took out my gem as it transformed into a great spear, A much more advanced spear than the one i used previously, the blade was much larger, and the grip was much firmer, it was shrouded in black shadows. i ran towards Emily, Thrusting the Spear towards her, her face was filled with fear as i ran the spear through the entity behind her. The wind of the impact blowing her hair out of the way as it drove right past her face Suddenly a loud screech could be heard, loud enough to knock her down to her knees, The Entity Raised its left arm, Clawing the both of us, Blood running down my face and a large gash wound would be seen in Emily's back, "No!" i though, the wind was knocked out of me, tasting iron as i hit the ground, blood pooled from my face,i dropped my spear and fell to my knees,The entity roared and raised its arm once again, crows from the dark trees around us flew off chirping, Suddenly the Darkness gem glowed dimly, "At least.. If I die. It's with her.." I said to myself accepting my fate with tears running down my face.,a black beam shot into the sky, suddenly a voice could be heard as the beam opened a portal, a Black dragon emerged from the portal, "Keysloww, Emily. I am Mordaak, The Entity of the Darkness Gem. It is my sworn duty to protect my keeper in dire times of need. And to serve my keeper." the voice said, Suddenly the Black Dragon hovered from above us and Breathed black flames among all three of us, Our wounds were healed, a black tattoo formed on my face from where the wound was, and a black tattoo formed on emily's back, the flames set the entity on fire and the entity was fell to the ground screaming, It began to turn black, it dug its claws into the dirt as it was burned into ash,After the fire made its way through its entire body, it burned into a black ash, the ash instantly was vacuumed into the portal Mordaak emerged from, "Thank you Mordaak.." i said, as i fell on my knees, Emily woke up, "Keysloww..What happened." Tears ran down my face, "Your alive.." i said as i hugged Emily, "You're alive.." I began to cry, "Key..whats wrong?" Emily said with a confused look on her face, "Of course I'm alive." she said, i continued crying hugging her more tightly, Tears began to soak her shirt, "Keysloww, look at me." she said, i slowly looked up at her, Emily pressed her lips against mine, silencing me with a kiss. "Calm down." she said as she pulled away from the kiss, I stared at her blushing, "im calm now.." i said as i stood up, looking away as my spear turned back into my gem,, i began to walk up the stairs, Emily following behind me, "Alright..let's find your sister." Emily said, we approached large gates with scratch marks on the surface and opened the gates to the temple, "What is this.." i said as i stared into the desolated room,dried blood was everywheres, Decayed corpses everywhere, a large Hole was in the back of the wall. "What happened here.." i said, I began to walk deeper into the room. I fell on my knees, hands on my head as I began to have a headache, memories of my childhood flashed through my head as I remembered my father's death, and the time I became an orphan. "Keysloww, Take your sister.. Keep her safe, Never forget me son." He said as he began walking into the Blinding light of the power stone, Mordaak could be seen emerging from the sky, My father rose into the air and merged with Mordaak, releasing an intense black flame, Consuming the light, Leaving only Darkness. Loud screaming from my father could be heard as Militha shouted "Aryn! Stop! You're going to kill yourself using that much power!", just then I heard him say "That's exactly my intent." Before the Powerstone was Consumed by a Black Portal, the Black portal Disappeared along with the stone and the Dark Gem dropped to the ground as Mordaak faded "Farewell fellow keepers.." Aryn's destroyed body Fell from the ground muttering "Take care of my children..", Militha ran towards Aryn, Holding onto the weak body. "NO! I'm not gonna lose you, don't go..Come on best friend, Come on.." he said as tears ran down his face. "It's alright Militha..Please.Watch over them." he said, I ran towards the two screaming while Alex sat on the ground in a curled up position crying, I began to cry uncontrollably as I shook my father's dead body "Daddy, Don't die.. Please don't leave me like Mommy did! Please!" i said as i buried my face into the man's chest. "Please.." i said, Sylvana walked towards the black stone and pocketed it, "Militha.. Let me take care of Keysloww.." She said, "i'm going to seal his memories to make him believe he's a normal kid..You take Alex.. Take her in and train her, one day i will reunite the two siblings." She said, I woke up, in a bed. "Keysloww!" Emily shouted as she saw me try to get out of bed, Alex walked in, dropping a plate of food, running towards me and hugging me. "Big brother! You're alright!" she shouted with tears running down her face as she embraced me. "Alex..wait..if you didn't attack us before..who was that back there.." I asked,"that was probably the shapeshifter..." she said with a look of fear in her eyes, "What's wrong?" i asked, "The shapeshifter liked to torment me by bringing back memories of daddy.." she said, "Alex...Don't worry, we'll find the Shapeshifter and destroy it.." i said, I looked around, "Emily, where's my gem at?" i asked, "The Darkness gem ." she said, "Actually now that i think about it, the smith should be done with it right now" Alex said, "Come on!" she said as me and Emily followed her outside, we left right away and headed towards the blacksmith, i opened the door, and we all entered the forge, steam overwhelmed all of us, a large forge was in the center of the room while an anvil and a bucket of water was nearby, The gem was embedded into a Chain Necklace, So i took the necklace and put it on, The blacksmith explained to me to just grab the necklace whenever I needed to activate the gem, Just then a loud crash could be heard, I hurried outside of the steaming room, into the streets, Villagers were running around the town in fear, "It's here! The shapeshifter is here!" the voice said, we all ran outside, i looked to the left and saw the man getting cut straight in half, "wh-what.." Alex said as she witnessed the murder of the man, A Large entity rose from the ground, "Its time to end this pathetic village and all of the people in it.." it said as it Swiped a building down into nothing but rubble. "My gods..What are gonna do.." Emily said, "Big brother do something!" Alex said, hiding behind me. I Ran towards the Entity, "I don't know what to do..." i said,it roared loudly, Swiping its arm, making another building turn to rubble, it swiped at me and i went flying into the rubble, "Key!" Emily yelled as i went flying into the rubble of the building,The heat of the fires consuming the nearby villages, and the sight of Dead villagers was all i saw before a taste of blood rushed through my mouth and blood began pooling from my mouth, My vision began to blur as i faded into my conscious, I opened my eyes, black chains bounded me and a large gate with a symbol of a moon was on the center of the gate, it slowly opened as red eyes glowed from the darkness, The creature was large, it approached me, fear ran through me, It Stopped in front of me revealing itself, A giant Black Dragon, Covered in spikes and Scales, Its wings looked torn and its eyes were blood red, i tried moving my arms, the chains shattered as the Dragon lowered its head, i placed my hand onto the head, and said "Mordaak", It roared and i woke up, Just then a Black Magic energy Pulsed through my body, Shrouding me in Shadows, My tattoo on my face Expanded to cover most of my body, My eyes Glowed red and my Hair turned White, "Keysloww, Use your newfound abilities to defeat that creature, Unleash the True power of the Spirit of Darkness." ,Mordaak said in my conscious,The gem became pitch black,, i got up onto my knees, looked up into the daylight sky and Released a dragon like roar, I ran towards the beast as my Hands Formed into Black Claws of darkness magic, I RIpped my hands into the entity's flesh ripping flesh straight from its body, I grabbed the Flesh and Bit straight into it, Spitting it back out, I Roared once more as i jumped up, Leaping about Ten feet into the air onto its Head, Scratching at its face, it began to shake trying to get me off, i dug my claws into its flesh as i fell off, Leaving a giant wound as approached the ground, I landed on the ground, the entity covered in its own blood, I looked up at it and spoke to it "You will die.." i said before i began to move extremely flash, a blur is all that was seen as the entity began to cut it up, eventually leaving it covered in scratches, I Held out both hands as my claws Extended into Large Shadow Blades, i thrusted both hands into the Entity and pulled them apart cutting the Entity in half, Just as the entity fell to the ground in two, It faded to nothing, my eyes returned to the Green color it was before, the Platinum blonde in my hair returned, but tips of the hair remained Pure white, i fell to my knees and the tattoo began to shrink back to its small size on my face, The dark energy faded as i passed out on the spot. "W-what was that.." Alex said, "I don't know..." Emily looked at Alex "i've never seen him tap into so much raw power.", "He tapped into the true power of Darkness." a voice said, A man with red hair began to approach the two, "Who are you?" Emily asked, "Militha!" Alex said as she ran to him hugging him, "It's been a while Alex." he said, he approached my unconscious body and lifted me up, carrying me towards the two, "I'm taking you three back to Aandia." he said, "First we need to wait for Key to wake up." Militha said, He lied me onto a bed when we entered one of the buildings that were vacant, in the middle of the night i woke up, i looked around, "Militha?" i said as i noticed him outside talking to someone, i approached him, "Why are you here?' i asked, He turned around to look at me,"We need your help..." he said, "The Council is falling apart." he said as he looked down, "Quinn has vanished, two of the elemental keepers has been murdered." he said, "What!?" i shouted , just then covering my mouth realizing its the middle of the night not trying to wake anyone up, whether they were in the building or next door,, "Yeah.. The Lightning Keeper and the Earth Keeper have been murdered." he said, "Seithe and Aine..." i said, "Alright, i'll come back. Only if we issue a search party as soon as I return." i said, I went to wake up the others, I informed them of the situation and we left immediately, Meanwhile, Quinn Ran and ran, Stopping to catch her breath, "Did i lose it..." she said, as she looked back, a beast could be seen in the distance, "Nope!" she said as she continued running, The Entity could no longer be in sight, "i think i lost it.." she said, she sat down, resting, then suddenly a loud roar could be heard, she looked up, the entity breathed heavily on her neck, A Dark mist began to envelop the area, Quinn screamed as loud as she could for help. Her screams echoed throughout the forest. Back with Keysloww, "Militha? How long until we get there?" i said, "We're almost there Key." he said as the we all sat in the back of the horse carriage, "SO what all has happened while I've been gone?" i asked, "Well you see, Church is finally accepting the fact his grandfathers gone and he's now the heir to the throne. But he wants us to continue the council until he thinks he's ready to rule over the city." Militha said, "Do the others know about me?" Alex asked, "No Alex, they do not know." he said, just then we came to a stop, "Why did we stop?" i asked, "Sorry... i just have a bad feeling about all of this." Militha said, we continued, and Me, Emily and Alex fell asleep, I woke up at the stables of the city, "Morning, Lovebirds." Militha said, I wiped my eyes as my vision was blurry and looked over, Emily was Leaning on my shoulder, fast asleep. I blushed "Can you stop teasing Militha?" i said, i woke up Emily, "Hey, Wake up, I need to go to the Meeting for the council, Meet me at the guild hall afterwards." i said, She got up, "alright." she said before she left, "Alright, lets go." i said to Militha as we headed towards the palace, "By the way Militha, I had no idea you knew my father.." i said, He looked at me, shocked, "You remember that?" he said, "Yeah..I remember watching my father sacrifice his life to seal away the power element for good." i said, "That's all in the past, but yeah..that day, i lost my best friend. Rest in peace Aryn," he said, we approached the gates and entered the palace, I followed Militha to the Council room and We all sat down and talked about the mission for the next hour, The plan was, We use Chronos's tracking magic, to track Quinn's Magic energy and go to the location it was tracked too, we then would split into three parties of two. Me, Militha. Rose, Church, Chronos and Aeon. If needed we were to subdue Quinn, But for some reason Militha thinks that something terrible has happened, Apparently he's been getting weird flashbacks of when Aryn sacrificed himself. I entered the guild hall, the walls and ceiling were the same, Only thing missing was Quinn, Aeon sat at the bar like usual "Alright, im back." i said, I looked at Aeon, "you've been informed of your part, right?" i asked him, "Yeah, i know. I'm going with Chronos." he said, Emily walked up to me, "Please bring her back safe Key.." she said, "i know Emily, i will." i said, "so you finally found out about her real name?" Aeon laughed, "yeah. I guess." i said looking away from him, "Emily, Everythings gonna be alright, i promise you Quinn will come back safe, And so will i." i said, She smiled, And proceeded to kiss me on the cheek,"Thank you Key." she said, i blushed, "Alright, Well i guess i'm gonna go home and get some rest for tomorrow." i said as i left the building, I met up with church halfway through the walk to the house, i talked to him about what all happened, and how i left Emily with Alex for a bit until we returned from the mission, "So, Emily and you.." he said with a smirk, "Shut the hell up dude, nothing is going on between us" i said, "Jeez, I was only teasing." he said, "Anyways, What if militha was right.." he said, "RIght about what?" i asked, "You know, the flashbacks he was having, What if the power gem has been released.." he said, "well if that's the case, we'll just seal it away again." i said, "Key, you're not grasping the situation here, last time that damn gem was sealed away. your father DIED." he said, "Yeah your right..." i said, "And you would be willing to die for your city? Right?" i said with a smile, Church stared at me, "Im joking..I would happily die to seal that damn gem away, if it means the safety of this city." i said, "Good, because you might have to do just that..But then again, i feel as if that responsibility falls upon me, due to being the heir to the throne and all." Church said, "Don't overthink it Church, Quinn's fine. I bet Militha was just being overdramatic." i said that, but deep inside,i was worried, i too could feel a strange power, something with a hostile intent was closing in on us, and it definitely has a similar energy signature as Quinn's magic, I'm hoping i'm just overthinking it, but i still don't have a good feeling about this, Later that night when i arrived at my house, Church left to go back to the palace and i headed to sleep, I had a nightmare, About Quinn being attacked, and being possessed, I'm sure it wasn't real, but it really felt real, I didn't feel like a dream. I watched Someone Cry over a dead body, and Militha's Arm was Sliced clean off from his body, We were losing that battle, and little did I know. We were about to lose another battle altogether, I woke up, and Headed out, i Went to the Smith and obtained the Armor he created for me,I fitted the pieces onto my body and I sharpened my spear, I then headed towards the Palace to meet up with the others, Something stopped me though, i turned around and headed towards the guild hall to say goodbye to Emily, to be honest, i think the others are right, i feel as if something is forming between us, i don't know though.. I then left the guild hall and returned on my way to the Palace, I met up with Militha and the others and we soon left the City and went on our way to find Quinn, or so we thought...
