Chapter 2: Meeting Cade Yeager

For almost a few days, Kara and Barry had fled Mexico leaving Optimus Prime fighting for his life. They had reach to Paris, Texas. They had bought some new pair of clothes in order to avoid authorities. Luckily, the government doesn't know their secret identities. They were at a bus stop waiting when a truck pulls by. A man in his mid-30s with a white t-shirt and jeans with shoes and a hat appears.

"Hey. You guys need a ride?" He asks Kara and Barry.

"No thank you." Kara replied.

"You sure?" The bus does not come for another hour and it's hot today." The man said.

Kara looked at Barry who is sweating a bit. They both needed to get out of the sun.

"Alright. We'll come." She said.

"Hop in." The man said.

Kara and Barry climb in the man's truck and he drives off.

"I'm Cade Yeager by the way." The man said.

"My name is Kara Danvers and this my friend Barry Allen." Kara said.

"How you doing, man?" Cade said. He offers a hand and Barry shakes it. He looks at Barry and sees his wedding ring but did not notice his Flash ring.

"So, you're married?" Cade asks.

"Yes. My wife is a reporter and I'm a CSI forensic expert." Barry replied, "So, where are we going?"

"To search for some things to fix. I'm an inventor." Cade said.

"Wow." Kara said.

Cade turns right to see his partner Lucas Flannery turning his music in his car singing.

"I'm a nasty woman!" Lucas sang.

Cade pulls over, turns off his truck and gets out with Barry and Kara following. Cade walks to the back of the truck and grabs his tools.

"I'm a heart breaker. Gonna make you cry!" Lucas sang continuously. He gets out of his car and sees Cade, Kara, and Barry walking towards him.

"What, no surf report no good at South Padre?" Cade asks.

"The waves are flat and I got no gas. You know that, Cade." Lucas said. As he walks across the street, a car passes him.

"Dude. That's rude, man." Lucas said. He then sees a couple of women walking by Lucas.

"Look at these two junebugs. Wooh! My, my!" He said to the girls who giggle at his humor.

"Lucas, this is Kara and her friend, Barry." Cade said.

"Hey there pretty thing." Lucas said.

"Hey there, Lucas." Kara said.

"Hey bud." Lucas said to Barry who waved at back to him. "Hey, you're paying me on this one, right, Cade? Please tell me I'm getting paid."

"You know, Lucas, a lot of guys are just happy to have a job at all." Cade said.

"Yeah, I suppose." Lucas said.

"You got any cash on you?" Cade asks.

"Yeah." Lucas replied.

"Alright, good."

Cade, Lucas, Kara, and Barry then reach to an old movie theater. There a man with a cowboy hat and his grandson appear.

"Hey, Lucas Flannery." Lucas said to the man. They shake hands and enter the theater. Barry was amazed about this.

"Wow." Barry said in awe.

"Place has been in the family since '28. Grandaddy ran it all his life." The grandson said, "Ain't that right, Grandaddy? Real soon he's gonna sign it over to me."
