Our Hero has returned back to Pallet Town, after months of Journeying and Adventuring through Kalos, with fond memories and vast amounts of experiences. However he misses someone.
"Ah! Greninja. Can you hear me? If you can, know that I'm proud of you and that I'm looking forward to meeting you really soon. Keep up the good work buddy." Ash thinks to himself walking down the hills of Pallet Town.
"I'm looking forward to meeting you again as well, Ash. Until then let's both get stronger. And then I'll make you even prouder!" A voice speaks in his head. Ash tears up a little. His and Greninja's bond is so strong that they can understand each other even if they're on the other side of the world.
"Yes Greninja! We'll both get stronger." He says giving a determined smile.
Ash continued to walk towards Pallet Town as he kept thinking about his Kalos Journey. He got flashbacks of his first day in Kalos. Being zapped by Clembot, Rescued by Clemont and Bonnie, His first Battle against the Lumiose Gym Leader, Being saved from Team Rocket by Froakie, Saving Garchomp. He moved on to Catching Fletchling, his battle with Viola, and then meeting Serena.
Serena was special, even though he didn't remember her, there was something about the honey blonde Kalosian that attracted him. He further drifted into all the memories the two childhood friends shared, chuckling upon the one in which she wore his dress to battle. He remembered the only time they had a fight, and that's when she pulled him out of his apathy. And finally he remembered the Last Act. Her final words to him before leaving kept playing in his ears. He constantly touched his lips, having a warm-fuzzy feeling in his heart.
"Serena sure is special. Her smile, it's just the best thing in the world. Isn't it buddy?" The raven haired trainer asked his partner.
"Pika?" The electric rodent gave a confused look at the sudden question. He ran up his shoulders and nuzzled against his face with an affectionate "Chaa"
Thinking about the Kalosian, Ash didn't realize he was back home. He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath, still remembering the kiss while white chrysanthemum flowers flew in the background.
"I'm Home!" He shouted while entering the house.
"Oh my! Ash! Pikachu! You're both back!" A brunette in her early thirties exclaimed as she got off the sofa, running over to hug her "little pokemon master", ruffling his hair after taking his cap off.
"Hi mom!" Ash said in a weary manner.
"Welcome Back Ash! I'm really proud that you made it to the finals this time. The next league you enter, you'll win it for sure!" She said cheerfully.
Ash looked up to face his ever cheerful mother, and gave her a tired smile. "Thanks mom! I'm sure I'll win the next one." He said with a little more enthusiasm.
Delia observed her son walking to the sofa and just lying on it, trying to relax. 'Maybe he's just tired. I guess he'll be alright by tomorrow.' She thought to herself as she walked towards the Kitchen to prepare his dinner. But while going she heard him say something that stuck in her mind. "Man! I wish I understood what that kiss meant." She looked back, to see her boy with a hint of a blush while touching his lips. 'I guess I'll have to talk to him about this later.' She thought to herself before continuing to get the dinner prepared.
<Time Skip>
After finishing their dinners, and talking for a while, Ash and Delia went back to their rooms to sleep, but the raven haired boy found none. He missed the radiant smile of the honey blonde Kalosian, as memories from their distant past floated back. He walked down to the living room along with a picture, the one they took while searching for the Lucarionite in Geosenge Town.
