I sat in my room just staring at the ceiling. It was boring being here these past four years. I had been waiting for Alec to come back, but it was obvious that wasn’t going to happen. I got up and started to pace, habit I had picked up since Alec had left, and thought about the recent news I was told. The part that was going to hurt the most was that Alec was probably off, not trying to come back.
    …
I watched as he jumped out the window and ran off to who knows where. He had found what he wanted and probably was leaving to do whatever. I looked at the guards who had grabbed my arms and dragged me into the throne room where my father was telling people what to do. He looked up and frowned letting out a grunt to follow it. “What is going on here?” The guards threw me at his feet and announced, “He was hiding the assassin the whole time. He is a traitor.”
I glared at the head guard, but my attention was brought back to my dad as he spoke, “Just lock him in one of the cells. He will not be fed two days, on the third day bring him food. Repeat this process every week for two weeks. He will then be released and locked up in his tower.” I felt my body tremble with fear as they picked me up grinning maliciously at me.
They started to drag my body to the stairs as I kicked and fought to get away from the wretched guards. They eventually hit me on the head, hard enough to knock me out. Everything went black then it came back with a new room surrounding me. It was one of the cells at the basement. I heard footsteps and the door opened to reveal Adrian and my father. “I wish I hadn’t had to do this, but it was better than what treason is punished for,” my father stated.
I nodded my head as they closed the door and sat with me on the floor. “I cleaned the cell up before they got here. It was pretty bad, but I was able to make it before they did,” Adrian had said. I smiled at them then heard my stomach grumble. My father pulled out a piece of bread and handed it to me. I smiled gratefully at him then ate.

The process went that way for the two weeks then I was brought up to that terrible tower and locked in. I played with magic then tried to find Alec a couple of times. I even had tried to contact him, but it no longer worked since the only thing that was left of him was the ring he had proposed to me with. I would play with that and make my childhood friends again so I wasn’t alone.
They were made out of green, purple, and pink sparkles. There was a green elephant, a purple unicorn, and a pink griffin. They would dance around the room or do something goofy and I was easily entertained. They had been what made me keep myself sane and alive until a week had passed and I was released out of the tower and was back in my room.
I had to catch up on my studies then everyday Adrian and Vimitri would come to cheer me up. They took time out of their day just to help me and they were the best family I could ever have. They basically took care of me while they tried cheering me up or even just comforted me as I bawled my eyes out.
My father had me visit him and I explained why I had hid Alec. He only nodded his head then hugged me. His response to the whole situation was, “If he ever comes back to the kingdom, I will ban both of you so you can live together and be happy. I will not give him the death sentence he deserves. I want you happy my child and if that mean I have to lose you, then so be it.” We hugged and cried after that then I left and went back to my room.
It had been a few days since I had seen Adrian. I was starting to wonder if he was going to come when I heard a knock on my door. I opened my door to find a servant girl who used to avoid me at all costs. "You're father wants you," She snarled at me. "What happen to Emilia and them?" "They were fired." I frowned, because they were my friends and they could be hurt or starving right now.
I walked out of my room and headed to the gaming room, where my father and brothers had been spending time together. “Ah! There you are son!” My father had exclaimed cheerfully. “The Queen has arranged something for you, but come closer and you will find out. I slowly walked closer to the deranged man when he pulled me into a hug. “I’m so sorry. The Queen hates you and when she found out that you were the reason the assassin had got away she arranged a marriage for you. She doesn’t care about your mate and has made the announcement to the kingdom. You will be meeting your bride in three days time,”  he whispered quietly in my ear, trying to make sure my brothers could not hear him.
I nodded my head and plastered a fake smile on my face. “Who is the beautiful girl I get to marry?” My father also fake smiled and responded, “Her name is Rydel.” I nodded my head then went out the door and my father followed. “What do I do?” I asked him. He put an arm around my shoulder and led me to my room. “We help you find your assassin boy. The guards had found his dagger and we have kept in a vault where we leave all murder weapons. We didn’t search for him because I said that it possibly was given to you,” he stated to me.
I smiled and we made our way to the vault he spoke of. I had never been to it, but it was actually just down the hall and a couple turns to the right from my room. We walked in and there was a pile of each item. There was instruments, hair items, weapons, and more. The problem was, was that we had to search through the entire pile of swords, knives, daggers, spears, bows, and guns to find his dagger. I remember his daggers had an emerald in the hilt and designs carved into it.
“Well I don’t know what it looks like, but you could use your magic to find it,” my father had told me. “I don’t remember the exact looks of it, but I can get the ones that look the closest to it. Finden den Dolch,” I chanted. I looked around to see what looked like a hundred different daggers floating in the air. I sighed and decided to chant, “Finden den Dolch mit einem Smaragd Griff.” About fifty daggers dropped and the ones with emeralds was there. I looked at my father who was scowling. “Do you remember anything else?” he asked. I nodded my head and said, “Finden den Dolch mit einem Smaragd Griff und Schnitzereien.” About half of the daggers fell and now I had to look through the rest.
I decided to do one last spell to see if that would help. I knew that I couldn’t remember it, but I had read a fun fact that the brain remembers all the faces it has seen, and maybe that could help with this situation. “Finden den Dolch , die Alec gehört,” I stated. I looked up to see three different daggers floating. “How many daggers did you find from assassinations that was by Alec?” I asked my father. He shook his head and said, “Only one the others belong to someone else. Do you know his last name?”
I shook my head decided to give it one last try. “Finden Sie den Dolch, um den Werwolf Alec gehört.” I looked up to see one dagger floating. “At least we found it.” I nodded my head then grabbed the dagger and started to head out with my father following close behind. “Go to room, now!” I ran to my room after hearing the heavy footsteps of a group of people. I started to run to my room when I heard, “HALT THIEF!”
