Eleanore's pov...

I was in my workshop working on a dress for the special event. Today was the day my best friend "Ethan winters" will be married at dawn where the glowing lights shall be held. Not gonna lie i am very excited for this day. It was like yesterday he was nothing but a little shy shell, to afraid to even ask Mia out and now they are getting married tonight at the same church where they first laid eyes on each other. I continued sewing until i heard the doorbell rang, quickly catching my attention. I shot up from the dress and turned towards the door to see my old friend Ethan with a great smile as usual. " Eleanore, how's it the dress?," he asked. I stood up in half shock and stood in front of the dress. " Ethan it's bad luck to see the surprise before the ceremony," i said. Ethan chuckled in response. " And besides, why are you even here? The ceremony starts in 4 minutes," I called. " Just wanted to see how my friend was doing," he carelessly shrugged. I sighed in response. I covered the dress until he couldn't see it at all and opened the closet. " Hey, could i at least take one good look at it?," he asked. " Absolutely not," I answered. I stuffed the covered manickan into the closet and closed the door. Afterwards i grabbed my keys and used it to lock the door. " Oh come on, do you really have to lock it?," he asked. " Me and you have been together for centuries," I blandly said. " I know how you're like," i said, looking him dead in the eye, causing  Ethan to  chuckle again. " So," I sighed. " How's Mia?," I asked.
She's doing great, i'm sure the dress you made will make her stunning," he said. I laughed a little in response to his enthusiasm  " I'm sure she will," i answered.

Ethan sat down on a stool, getting a little too comfortable for his own good. And like a little shit head he is he put both of his feet on my favorite coffee table, leaning back a little like he was relaxing on a beach in Hawaii. I sighed in frustration, feeling the heat course through my veins. Ethan caught onto this and raised an eyebrow. " Hey Eleanore, what's with the face?," he asked, playing dumb. I looked at his leathery shoes and back at him. To give him the answer i walked towards him, almost stomping my feet on the floor. " You should already know," i said. " Get'cha damn feet off of my table, this aint Chris house," i said, smacking his feet. With a wide eyed expression he doen as he was told and quickly removed his feet from my coffee table. " Gee, calm down," he said. " Can't a groom relax before his wedding?," he asked, slightly raising his hands. I turned back towards him, feeling the fire in my eyes i quickly answered. " Not with your feet on my table," i finished, causing him to sigh in response.

" Ok, i get the picture," he slightly shrugged.  UGH! Ethan could be so irresponsible sometimes. Just like when we were 6 me and Ethan walked down the street afterschool to play baseball. I told him  that we shouldn't play it infront of Mr and Mrs Williams house but since he was such a hot head he  threw the ball and whacked it with full force  before it could even hit the ground. The ball flew in the air as fast as it could and hit their window, causing an almost ear piercing noise. And just when you think it couldn't get any worse Mr Williams have already been watching us. " DARN YOU KIDS!," Mr williams shouted from the broken window. " RUN!," Ethan shouted. Without another word gone by he dropped the baseball bat and we were forced to run down the street like criminals  running away from the cops until we reached his house, where we both had to hide for the rest of the day. Ever since that day i kept telling him that he better be lucky the Williams had enough money to fix that window otherwise we'd be spending a lot of money in debt.

I grabbed a nearby chair and sat down in front of him. I leaned a little on the table and grabbed my cup of coffee in a green coffee cup. Even though i'm more of a red type of girl i love the color green. Green means earth and it also the color of healthy food, and without green on earth we wouldn't really have fresh air all the time. " So, what are you doing here?," i asked. Ethan laid back with a grin. " I just came to see the best woman that's going  to be at my wedding," he grinned. I rolled my eyes, continuing to sip my hot coffee. " Yeah whatever," i said, putting my cup down. " By the way Mia is coming over to pick up her dress so i suggest you leave, it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding day," I explained. Ethan was quick to brush it off... like he always does and tries to pretend that i even said anything.. "Oh come down Eleanore, you might catch an heart attack if you keep worrying like that," he said. My eyes lowered in response. I hate to be the one to say this but...did my friend just magically blow in from stupid town? If he know's his wife could be here any second than why would you brush it off? If he get's bad luck than i hope he doesn't come crying to me about it until the next life time.

" I'm not worried you freaking moron, i'm just trying to warn you about how much bad luck it is to see the bride, and if she automatically waltz in here to get her dress and you see here then-," Listen" he said, stopping my sentence. " If the door opens i will leave immediately. I won't even bother looking behind me," he said. " And besides, I'm sure Mia will come here in another hour-," Before he could finish his excuse to be here for no apparent reason the bell ranged revealing Mia. " Hey Eleanore, sorry i'm late, it was triffick again," she said, closing the door behind her. Just by hearing her voice  Ethan jumped out of his seat, falling on the floor. " Oh shit," he silently squealed in terror. I slightly rolled my eyes in response. " Eleanore, are you still there?," Mia called, getting my attention. "I'll be right with you," i reminded. " Just stay out there," i finished. " Oh...ok," she said. I looked down at Ethan and sighed. " What did i tell you?," i asked. " I outta open the curtains and let her see you," i said. " Oh come on, you really wouldn't bring bad luck on your best friend...would you?," he asked, giving me puppy dog eyes. In response i sighed and slightly flipped my hair. " I would you, but you're lucky that i am in a good mood today," i said. I looked both ways until i sighed. " Come with me Ethan," i softly whispered.

" Oh, thanks, you're a life saver as always," Ethan said, slowly starting to smile. " No this isn't me saving your life, this is me being merciful," i finished. After talking to him i opened the curtains that leads to the backdoor and opened the door. " Get out," i said. " Alright, just promise me you'll be at my wedding," he said. " Of course i am going to be there," i said. " Why would you think-," " Eleanore, are you ready for me yet?," Mia asked, interrupting my sentence. " Uh...o-one more minute," i said. It was silent for a moment until she finally spoke. " Alright, i'll still wait," she said. Afterwards i softly sighed and looked back at Ethan. " Why are you still standing there?," i asked. " Get out," i said. " Oh, sorry," he said, leaving. Afterwards  I closed the curtains behind me. " Hello, Eleanore?," Mia called. " I'm here to pick up my dress, is it ready or do i need to come back later?" she asked from the otherside of the curtains. " I'll be right with you, don't go anywhere" I called back. " Once we reached the door i opened it and pushed Ethan out. " See what i mean hot head?," I asked. Ethan fell into the snow, in response. He rolled from his stomach and looked at me. As he looked at me he giggled and scratched his forehead. I gave him a solid death glare. " Eleanore?," Mia asked again. I sighed in response. " I gotta go," I said, before closing the door, leaving Ethan to figure it out by himself, i got a dress for the bride today and this is going on to my paycheck later on. After i closed the door Mia was already waiting for me.

" Mia it's been so long," I said, forcing a smile on my face.  Mia laughed in return. " It sure has," she answered. I sighed and put my hand on her shoulder. " The dress is this way"...

Alright that was the first chapter in so long, i'll try to write some other time, see ya :)
