The day was bright and all the small boy could think about was the surprise he had planned for his partner. Cornelius had woken up bright and early with a smile on his face. The sun was shining into the room, giving the young human the perfect morning glow. It was just about their one-month anniversary and he wanted to make it special - something they could remember for a lifetime. The past few days, Cornelius wandered the ever-changing forest, looking for the perfect picnic spot for them. It took a few days, however, he finally had managed to find the perfect place. A surplus of waterfalls, all connecting down to a beautiful enchanted pond. It was flawless in every way possible. The flowers and vines growing up the walls and hidden caves venturing deep into the mountain. It was truly enchanting. The next few days were spent making the secret place all the better. He grew roses and daisies everywhere possible, the butterflies and bees quickly finding themselves to the flourished land.
Cornelius rose from their bed and stretched his arms out, yawning softly. His soft Auburn hair glowing in the sun, his bangs fallen forward into his face. The small boy turned to the bed, a warm and small smile spreading across his freckled face. The enderman lying fast asleep in his bed looked so peaceful and serene - angelic almost. Some may beg to differ, however, Cornelius will always see Xithre as the most handsome and gentle man to exist. Ever since the two first met, he knew he would grow to love this so-called beast.
He made his way to the bathroom and shed himself from his clothes, dropping them into the laundry basket before he turned the water. Cornelius gave the water a few minutes to warm up before he slid into the relaxing stream. He closed his eyes and sighed contently, a gentle smile set at ease on his rosy cheeks. Cornelius worked his way through his hair care routine before his attention was turned to his body. He started to work the soft suds into his body, making sure to reach every inch, ensuring the health and beauty of flawless skin. However much Cornelius denied it, he truly was beautiful in every way possible.
Soon after, he finished up in the shower and stepped out, wrapping a towel around his waist. The flawless young man turned his attention back to the mirror and frowned when he saw his reflection - Cornelius couldn't help but despise the freckles that peppered his cheeks and nose. Regardless, he washed his face and towel-dried his hair. He then went back to his bedroom and dug through his closet, searching for his favorite green sweatshirt. Once he found it, he slid it right over his head and put on some black shorts, finally ready for the picnic.
Cornelius went out into the kitchen, a bounce in his step. He may not be the best baker, however, the small boy was determined to make pancakes on his own today. He pulled out everything he would need for the pancakes and got right to work. Within minutes of starting, smoke started to seep through the cottage - having failed once more at baking. In an instant the tall Enderman appeared in the doorframe, towering over the petite boy. He looked around and quickly put out the small flame with a damp washcloth, then scooped up Cornelius into his arms, taking him outside for fresh air.
The stubborn boy huffed and wrapped his arms loosely around Xithre, resting his head against the warm skin. "I had it under control, Xixi" Cornelius said in his gentle voice, only to be greeted with a small poke of disagreement. In an instant, he burst into giggles and wiggled his way out of Xithre's arms, pulling the Enderman down to his level. A warm and childish smile formed on his cheeks as he gazed into the glowing purple eyes. "I have a surprise for you..!" He said, pressing a soft and tender kiss to Xithre's forehead before bouncing back off towards the cottage to grab their picnic basket he had prepared the night before. He came back out a few minutes later, a bright smile on his face as he grabbed one of Xithre's large hands, pulling him off into the forest towards the falls.
Along the way, the small boy grew all sorts of different glowing plants and flowers, making a beautiful path that would light up the forest once the sun sets. After about an hour of comfortable silence, the two men finally made it. With a bright smile, Cornelius put the basket down and turned to Xithre, who in turn picked him up and nuzzled into the small boy's chest, trying to show his appreciation and love for him.
Cornelius burst into giggles and wrapped his legs around Xithre's waist, resting his arms comfortably around his shoulders. "Do you like it?" He asked sweetly, kissing Xithre's forehead with grace. The Enderman was seemingly glowing with pure happiness, having never been shown such love and appreciation. Xithre held onto Cornelius as if it would be their last day together - never wanting to let go of his one true love. This truly was a moment they would remember for a lifetime. The hidden oasis was buzzing with beautiful butterflies and insects you'd only see in the most fascinating of dreams. The water was rippling with hundreds of elegant koi, swimming about their lives in blissful peace.
"I made us a picnic!" Cornelius exclaimed, gently prying himself from Xithre's arms, going over to the basket. He pulled out a large and comfortable blanket and brought it to a large patch of soft grass, laying it flat on the ground. Xithre smiled, going over to help the petite boy set up the picnic. Within just a few minutes the two had set out all the delicious delights Cornelius had worked oh so hard to put together. Xithre sat down and pulled his little angel into his lap, snuggling into the back of his neck. Cornelius melted into the embrace, almost immediately being lost in the comfort of his partner. He closed his eyes and sighed softly - contently. The two were lost to the world.
Cornelius spun around in Xithre's lap and straddled his hips, his tiny hands rested gently on the warm and smooth chest. For many days Cornelius had tried to find the right words to put on how he felt, however no word could truly describe his emotions - explain how strong their bond has grown in just a few months. It was beautiful and pure - unbreakable and persistent. Nothing in this world could break it.
"Xixi… I know you probably don't understand a word I'm saying, but god i can only pray to the gods you do… words can not describe how much i care,, you make me feel so incredibly safe and loved and falling asleep in your arms each night is pure bliss. You found me when i was falling down a scary hole, b-but you saved me! And you nurtured me back to my best even though I was so scared for so long. You saved me and I am forever grateful for you. I know I'm not always perfect, but i try my best to make you happy… it's hard sometimes but i really do try! I just… i wish I could hear your voice and know exactly what you're saying or… or feeling. I guess i can only pray you know what I'm saying… or even have an inkling of how I feel…"
His voice cracked and a tear rolled down his cheek. The small boy broke down into Xithre's arms, having poured his entire heart out to the Enderman, unsure if he was even understood. Xithre only smiled and gently lifted Cornelius' head to look deep into his bright green eyes. He understood. He understood each and every word Cornelius said but alas was unable to explain how much he had fallen for the tiny human. Instead, he pulled him into a soft and passionate kiss, hoping that it would be enough to express even a hint of how strongly he felt for Cornelius.
After only a moment, Xithre pulled away and gazed down into his eyes, his heart melting at the sight. Cornelius' face was flushed a bright red and his cheeks were stained with tears. His soft hair fell over his eyes as the small boy curled into the Enderman's chest. He couldn't help but to blush at the gentle gesture. Xithre wrapped his arms comfortably around the petite little brunette, sliding his warm hands up his sweatshirt and over the soft pale skin. Cornelius shivered and tilted his eyes up to gaze at his savior.
"Thank you… for everything."
He said softly, reaching a hand up to gently caress Xithre's cheek, a starstruck look resting on his face. Cornelius turned back to the picnic and picked up a chocolate covered strawberry, raising it to Xithre's lips. They shared the wonderfully made meal and relaxed in each other's comfort for hours. After not too long, Cornelius fell asleep, curled up safely in his lovers arms.
Xithre sat up and gently set Cornelius down on the soft grass, then picked up the picnic and lifted the small boy into his arms, carrying back to the safety of their little cottage. He laid him down in their bed and out the remains of the food away, then quickly returned to Cornelius' side, wrapping his arms protectively around his little Angel. Just before the enderman fell asleep, he mustered three simple words he had spent months trying to get just right.
"I love you."
