I looked through my drawers once again, trying to find my favorite pair of galaxy pants. I had thrown on a purple Collide With The Sky Pierce The Veil t-shirt and a baggy sweatshirt, and now I couldn't find my best pair of pants to go with it. I finally pulled on a pair of sweatpants and checked the dryer downstairs for them. Sure enough, there they were, dry and ready to wear. While I was downstairs, I grabbed a Monster energy drink and ran upstairs to change. I put a large chain on my pants, threw on a couple cool rings, and a can tab choker around my neck. I studied myself in the mirror, approving of the look and finally cracking open my Monster. I took a large swig, as I hadn't had much sleep the night before.

"Bye guys! I'm going to Nate's house!" I yelled this throughout the house, hearing a "Bye!" or two. I grabbed my keys, got in my car, and started heading to his house. I hadn't paid attention to the path there when Mark and I went last time, so I had to use Google Maps.

I looked up and I had arrived at Nate's house. "Well, no time to psych myself out of this." I walked mechanically up to Nate's front door, only able to get one knock in before it opened.

"Wow, you look really good today Y/n," Nate blushed ever so slightly.

"Oh, uh, heh... thanks!" Nate held the door open wider and I stepped inside. "Soo, what did you think we could do?" I asked.

Nate responded after a moment, saying, "I was hoping we could play Overcooked 2!"

I smiled at Nate. "That sounds great." I tried my best to look cute, but when I opened my eyes back up, he was walking away already. I hurried up to him, clutching the sleeves of my hoodie out of anxiety. I couldn't get my mind off of how he seemed to be ignoring my sad attempts at dropping hints.

Nate led me back to his recording studio, this time with two chairs and a lower camera for recording our faces while seated. He handed me a controller, pressing the record button and booting up the game. We planned an intro where I would roll into frame as he introduced me, and then I could introduce myself.

"Hey guys, Natewantstobattle here, and today I'm playing Overcooked 2, but with a special guest..." I tried to roll into frame but the wheel got stuck on one of the stray cords under the desk. I struggled for a minute with no help from Nate, who was giggling at my misery. I gave him the finger before finally getting the chair unstuck and successfully rolling my chair right up next to Nate's.

"Hello people, I'm (Your/youtuber/name) but you can call me Y/n." The mellow music of the game helped me relax a bit. Nate let me join and we chose our chefs. He went for the panda and I settled for the shark. "Are we doing versus or story?"

Nate considered his options and answered, "I don't mind either." I groaned, I hated making decisions.

"Let's dooooo... uh, how about versus?" Nate picked the option and we chose the gourmet galaxy map. The game started and my first task was to build an order of steak and... potatoes? Tbh, I have no idea what those are. I laughed as Nate fell off the map, attempting to get some tomatoes.

"Screw you!" Nate laughed at my reaction.

"Oh believe me, I am the one who will be doing the screwing." Nate stopped and looked at me with a worried face while I tried to keep a straight one, staring at the screen and failing to hold back a smile.
