I smiled and saved his number. We texted back and forth for a couple more minutes before I decided to ask.

The conversation ended naturally, and I went back to the boys.

"What took you so long, Y/n? You were in there for like, half an hour!" Ryan looked at me like he knew something was up.

"It was literally less than 20 minutes, Ryan."

"Well it felt like forever," he pouted. I ruffled his hair and sat back down with the three.

"SoOo, Y/n, I heard that you've been talking to Nate," Mark said in a scandalous voice.

"What? Where did you hear that?"

"At his house, I heard him ask for your number." Mark wiggled his eyebrows at me. I felt my face get hotter as he said this, realizing that he had been just outside the door to the recording room. Ryan and Matt "Oooh"d in response.

"Look, okay, look... I may have a slight crush on him..." This sentence brought on a lot of responses, all very loudly, none of which I could decipher.
