"Dearest Chongyun, over here" Xingqui called from across the cobblestone path. The blue haired exorcist turned around, seeing Xingqui. He giddily ran over to where he stood.

"I couldn't see you for some reason, are you ready?" The boy said. Xingqui laughed, politely covering his mouth as he did so. "Its alright my liege, I have a surprise for us today" a cool fall breeze blew over the two of them, the sounds of the busy Liyue shopping district flowed with the wind.

"Liege? I thought we where closer then this, please, Just call me by my name" Chongyun blushed. "As you wish, yunyun" Xingqui smiled, making Chongyun ears glow an even brighter red. The little nickname always make Xingqui laugh but make Chongyun red.

"As for the surprise..." Xingqui pulls out a large basket he had been hiding behind his back. The two boys normally go on strolls around the city whenever the both of them are free, but today Xingqui had something else in mind.

"Its packed with a light lunch and some books for us to read at this beautiful location I know" he says cheerfully. "Amazing, I'm excited to see this fancy location of yours" Chongyun replies in delight.

They walk, following Xingqui's lead. The two had been close friends since they where very young, first meeting when Xingqui had an irrational fear of ghosts and claimed his room was haunted and in dire need of an exorcism.

Chongyun was still an apprentice at the time, so he was able to tag along with the best exorcist money could buy. Due to Xingqui's family's status, it was hard for him to make friends and ended up a rather lonely kid.

Chongyun on the other had was bubbly and had no care for the family's status, the two hit it off right away. The crisp autumn air made the leaves under their feet crunch as they walked. The two talked about things that had happened in between the times they last got together, eating the lunch Xingqui had prepared for them.

"This is my first time cooking pork buns, how do they taste?" Xingqui asked. with a mouth full of food, Chongyun answers "perfect, theyre not spicy at all".  "Look in the other side, I packed you some extra popsicles just in case yunyun" Xingqui points out as he takes his first bite of the special pork buns he had made for himself, extra spicy.

The two knew a lot about each other. Xingqui is extra cautious of his friends yang supply, so he always makes sure to keep a popsicle or two with him to keep him calm.

Just before the two where about to cross a bridge, Xingqui tells Chongyun to look up. The orange and yellow leaves from the trees in the canyon looked astonishing, a gust of wind blowing fallen ones into the air as a little show. Across the bridge was a single tree between the mountains.

A sweet, little place where the two of them could be alone and un-bothered by the outside world. "Thank you" Chongyun says as he stares in awe. He had lived in Liyue all his life but had never thought to come out this far into the mountains.

Xingqui just says nothing and smiles, taking in the sweet smell of a nearby fruit. They walk across the suspended bridge and onto the land with the tree.

"Its a pear tree that has been in my family for generations, whenever were not togeather, I come here to tend to it. it reminds me of you somehow, always blowing with the wind, not a care in the world" Xingqui states then sits down, leaning on the tree. "Pick some for us will you"

He gets out one of the many books he brought and starts to read as Chongyun walks around the tree, looking for the best pear he can find for his dear friend. He had some time to think.

Ever since he first went to Xingquis house all those years ago, he always had a weird feeling around him he could never explain. It was although there where firefly in his stomach.

Looking down at Xingqui reading so peacfully, he took the time to admire all the small little details of his face that he loved. The small freckle under his right eye, the slim bridge of his nose, his always soft lips. When finally, he found the perfect fruit.

He plucked it from the tree and showed it to his sitting friend. "Good job yunyun, now come sit and we can eat it" Xingqui says sweetly. The weight of the day starts to fall on Chongyun eyes as he sits. The two quietly eat and Chongyun slips into sleep.

When he awakens he finds himself looking up at Xingqui, now with a different book. "Did I fall asleep?" Chongyun asks. "Yes" Xingqui says, lifting a hand from his book and placing it on Chongyun forehead.

His hair was soft and well taken care of. Xingqui smiled as he stroked it, weaving different strands between his fingers. "Can I stay like this, on your lap?" Chongyun asks.

"Of course" Xingqui says. Then he bends down and kisses the boys forehead before quickly hiding his face behind a book. It seems Chongyun feelings are mutual.

They both sat in silence, blushing like crazy. Chongyuns eyes become heavy once more, feeling Xingqui's fingers in his hair lull him to sleep.

Before he drifts off, he mutters one thing "I think I love you, Xingqui"

"I know" he says to the now asleep boy. "I think I love you too"

The smell of pear and the baked goods that where still fresh in the town mixed togeather in the air as the sun set around the two boys, this was truly a special day.
