The night soon became a blur of bright lights, bodies moving, playful smiles and lots of dancing. We danced, danced and danced until the crowd started to dissipate and the sun was already rising when we made our way up the stairs from the party.

Harry and Uma didn't leave my sides for not even a second. We even had our own after party, that was basically me leading a tour through the kitchens at dawn and making smoothies and sandwiches for the three of us.

And the next thing I knew was the sun insistently on my face. I opened my eyes and looked around. It seemed like my room, but it couldn't be my room. The curtains were different, and my room didn't have boots and clothes all over the floor.

I sit up and notice that I'm also on the floor, tangled in blankets and... arms? Harry and Uma were peacefully sleeping on the floor with me, her arm around my waist. Harry was wearing only a vest, with no shirt. And I had no idea what was happening.

Trying to remember how I got there, flashbacks of the night came: dancing with Harry's firm hands on my hips, Uma holding me by the shoulders. Then, Harry was scraping off the fruity bits on a blender; I leaned my head on Uma's shoulder just to rest a little bit while she finished her chicken sandwich.

Shaking my read and trying to focus, I finally realized I was in Harry and Gil's room, although Gil was nowhere in sight.

I take her hand away from me so I can get up, and thankfully they both are very heavy sleepers. I kicked the blankets away and tiptoed my way to the door. I had no idea what time it was or for how long we were sleeping, but ended up finding my phone tossed inside my boots that I apparently left near the bed.

It was past 3 p.m, and I also had three missed calls from Ben and seventeen messages.

"I passed by your dorm but no one is there, where are you??" and "I'm going to assume you died." and "You know if you die, Chad is the next in line for the throne until I have kids?" "Do you really want to risk Chad becoming King of Auradon?" Mal, on the other hand, texted a lot of laughing emojis and then "Your brother is going insane." and then " If you ran away to marry without society's judgment, I'm here for you." from Evie, that later just texted me a bunch of questions about dresses, and Jamie was the craziest one, with several texts saying how nervous she was for her date and then a bunch of exclamation points.

I'm now guessing the date was completely perfect and they are ready to marry and have four kids, three dogs and a cute bunny at this point. The newest text said that she was going to meet me for lunch the next day (or, well, today) to tell me everything.

Oh.

Since it was three in the afternoon, she probably was waiting for me for a couple of hours now, which meant that she was going to kill me.

I picked my boots and jacket, not bothering to put them on again. I felt kinda bad for just running away while they both were still asleep, but I could not just leave Jamie standing.

I planned to do my walk of shame to my dorm room as quickly as I could in order to get ready to meet Jamie and just hope no one sees me because I probably look like I'd been run over by the entire royal procession.

"Hold your horses there, King Benny. I'm alive." I texted Ben, rolling my eyes at how dramatic he could be sometimes. Taking a deep breath and very carefully, I unlocked the door.

And as soon as I stepped out of their room, I was faced with Carlos, just casually walking by with Dude.

"Izzie?" he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "What are you doing here?"

What are you doing in the boys' wing , that was probably what he had meant.

"Hmmm." I tried to think of something when I saw his eyes go to me, a walking mess, to the door behind me and certainly at little plaque on it that had the number of the room engraved to it and the names of the people that lived there. His eyes went back to me, looking more closely.
