Luna's POV:
I was debating on wether I should pitch a curve ball or fast ball to the willowy pink haired girl with her bat ready in the air.
Oak wood high school was known for their tall softball girls who could hit home runs.
This girl sure did look hungry for that wonderful sound when the bat hit the ball in that one perfect spot that could score victory.
But one thing about me is that I'm not a loser and neither is my team.
So I'm not going to give it to her that easy.
I've made up my mind on the pitch.
Before setting up in pitching position I look at that girl directly in the eyes.
No one has ever looked me directly in the eyes when I'm pitching.
This should be fun I thought.
I grinned and I saw that familiar expression play on her face like the other girls had when I was pitching: fear.
It was a expression that I never got tired of seeing but also never really surprised either.
I mean to be honest if I was that girl going up against this famous star pitcher that dominated 2 innings in a row I would have that same expression on my face too.
But hey I am the star pitcher so I have nothing to fear.
I set up in my pitching position.
Curve ball.
I went into motion like a paintbrush brush the canvas so delicately.
Expect in stead of saying delicately I would say mine was more deadly.
I released the ball into the air. Sometimes I could swear that whenever I pitched it would be in slow motion for me until it hit the glove of the catcher's.
Pink haired girl swung her bat like she was swatting a fly away. Expect her swing was little off balance to the point where she just barely missed that beautiful spot.
Oh well sucks to be her.
The crowd was in a noise of screams and roars of joy coming from the right of the bleachers.
As usual I could only see my two brothers in that direction and a whole lot of happy looking parents from my teammates families.
Guess no mom or dad again.
Oh well.
Well at least on the bright side me and my team are going to be playing in the finals with another team to see who will win the high school softball trophy this year.
It actually wasn't impossible to overhear from one of my loudest teammate Shelly that we were going to play the red hawks high school softball team.
Another well known team with their supposedly "unstoppable pitcher".
I step out of the pitching circle to the dugout but before I do I trace my eyes to that tall pink haired girl who now had an expression of amazement play on her face.
I smirk and turn around to walk to the dugout where my teammates with their smiling faces are.
Red hawks high school aren't the only one that has an unstoppable pitcher.
